There is probably some nokron ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ involved, since they dealt in creating life from silver tears.
The dudes in the village, who lose their legs and speech are first generation and resemble humans.
These seem to seek a better life and existence, as mentioned by Latenna and Loretta's lore.
The frogmen are second generation and resemble cartwheeling frogmen (see their spirit ashes)
Just speculation, but maybe a more obedient, primitive second generation was needed since the human like albinaruics had too many independent thoughts.
Albin is the root for albino, meaning without pigment.
Auric means "of gold".
We know they are artificially created life forms, made without the grace of gold bestowed on life in the Lands Between by the golden order of the Erdtree.
First gens like Latenna lose the ability to walk after a bit
Second gens look like frog people
I suppose from the lore we know that they are "made by human hands" and seen as "impure", but that doesn't answer who made them or why, but does explain why we see them in Volcano Manor being tortured, why the Albinauric Village is being attacked, why they seek refuge in the Haligtree and why some are wandering around the Consecrated Snowfield. Doesn't explain why they are in Mohg's blood palace though, but I guess the annoying blood spike ones are "corrupted" by the blood or something.
Interestingly the albinauric shield depicts "the primordial drop of dew from which they are said to have been created", but the ripple blade resembles "the ripples that are thought to be the origin of their species.", so are they somehow created from dew dripping into something? Weird. They also have some connection with interfering with the effects of healing flasks.
I still don't know what's up with the first generation of albinaurics being much more humanlike, why their legs are disappearing, why the second generation is the dumpy one, I got the impression that they were made by the first generation of albinaurics, and that the second generation is kind of like a diminished echo of them in the same way following waves of a ripple are, but that's reaching pretty badly.
It reminds me of Rennala's rebirthing thingy.
Their name can literally be separated into "Albin" for "albino" and "Auric" meaning "gold".
So, "white gold" for a lack of better words. This makes me feel like they were created under the influence of the Moon to replicate Gold Alloy (which Gold is essentially the color of a typical soul in this game which might give the term "unalloyed gold" more context). This would explain their adept usage of magic (such as the magic archers and Loretta). They also share a bestial shadow counterpart, more play on the dualism of the game's symbolism (male/female, man/beast, etc etc).
The "Impure" part could simply be on the basis that because their souls are white it is somehow lesser than that of Gold souls. It might also be silver, in relation to the mimic tears. Unsure though...
They lose the ability to use their legs as they age, save for second-generation albinaurics who become frog-like in appearance. Personally, i feel like this is just play on some of the game's themes of "Metamorphosis". First Gen as tadpoles, second gen as frog people. Makes me wonder if DLC will have "full frog" albinaurics that are super strong enemies somehow.
