Its not called "Horse simulator"
It would be nice if when you try to turn Torrent around, it didn't do that harsh jerky partial step forward into the 180 turn that is prone to walking you off the edge of cliffs.
Meanwhile the horse in Elden Ring is actually usable and has a useful double jump, let's be honest. You just have to consider that this mount has four legs (DUH) so you need to account for that when you do jumping sections.
None of you guys have played Red Dead Redemption 2. That's the best and most realistic horse riding in game that I've yet seen, the physics and representation of inertia and movement, anyway.
Torrent doesn't move like a real horse-like creature at all. Way too jerky and responsive, while clumsy an inaccurate at the same time and is super slow. It would be nice if it could run faster outside of combat so we're not plodding along at such a slow pace all the time.
EDIT: Note "Horse-like" creature. Everyone including their 7 year old little brother knows it's not a real horse and real horses can't double jump. We've already had 5 or 6 big brains try to pull out that brilliant gem.
*sigh* It's sad that needs to be pointed out.
Neat.
