I have a post in PC Test discussion but I decided this was more fitting for what I encountered 2nd flight day.

- Game Crashed when i sprinted (shift) and pressed alt to open grenade inventory (opens up change keyboard language/layout).

- We had a bot on our team and 2 spectating real players making a total of 6 players altogether in our team.

I have noticed a few things that could be tweaked for bots to hopefully improve player emulation.
  • Bots will sometimes pause mid gunfight to turn and pickup a new weapon, leaving themselves defenseless for a second or two, spelling their doom.
  • Bots often seem to switch target priority mid engagement, even if their first target is inches from death.
  • This could be me, but bot strafe speed does not seem organic and feels faster than realistic.
  • Bots sometimes freeze, after kills, picking up weapons, or sometimes for no reason at all.
Please consider making at least the first shot with unscoped sniper 100% accurate, if not removing bloom from the sniper completely.

I feel like the AI should be a bit more difficult to go up against. They're alright, but from my experience it feels like easy-medium difficulty. I'd like to see them capitalize on beat downs from behind, and use different weapon combinations like the power combo. i.e. plasma pistol + magnum / BR. I'd also like to see them pick up the power ups, and use other power weapons on the map with accuracy. It'd be nice if they teamed up to match their shots on one person when engaging.

The new map came out and bot difficulty has been far better than before. Some things I didn't like is how the Gravity Hammer doesn't send enemies flying like it used to. The bulldog doesn't perform as well as the old shotgun so I hope the old one makes a return.

Overall the bot slayer in terms of AI has improved, and gameplay is solid.


The Bulldog doesn't need to be like the Old Shot gun, the old shot gun was a pumped, semi-auto or simply slow fire rate and reloads each shell while the Bulldog is a very different type of shotgun, like it's Automatic or faster fire rate, compressed spread, and it has a magazine, simply Bulldog=Eva-8 in Apex Legends and Mastiff=Old Shotgun. I really like the Bulldog since I like Automatic Shotguns, but I'm still hoping to return the old shotgun.

With the harder bots I've started to notice a few things. The TTK was too fast against Marines, but I thought maybe it was because the bots were easy to kill. But nope, with ODSTs and tests being done, TTK is certainly too fast. Also, it seems there are almost no semi automatic weapons, which is an issue, there isn't as much variety when nearly every gun is automatic or burst fire. But I imagine every gun hasn't been shown and I assume there's some more semi autos coming. Slowing down the TTK but keeping the faster paced fans happy, a good balance could be lowering the respawn time to say 6 seconds, which would work well if each gunfight took slightly longer imo.

I'd like to hear the spartans scream in absolute pain and agony while taking damage from live fire, or impacts. I want to know the FEAR of being near death and surviving it. This is what makes a great game, if you are going to change it this much do it with love as I described. This is an adults game that involves weapons of mass destruction, warfare, loss of life, topics of racism and hate crimes... Please make the game more mature and appropriate for its respective audiences.
THIS. Thats a major problem with H4/H5 and to a slightly lesser extent Infinite. They aren't brutal, it feels like a cartoon. Considering what they're showing of the campaign it seems weird everything sounds so bright and cheery (except for the Sniper firing itself which is great). It'd just feel weird to have humanity almost wiped out, Chief alone with Brohammer and then when making a heroic stand, sounding like he's popping balloons and there only being littles bits of blood spraying out of an Elite that just was sprayed with 32 bullets.

It's hard to see someone after you spot them, the icon and the location name are pretty big and fully opaque as far as I can tell. Spotting is very useful and once people get used to it I think this will be a bigger problem.

I want to let my team know where people are but I also don't want to block my view of them by doing so. It's like free cover for the enemy in some instances
Issues

-Bots sometimes stops in mid gunfight to pick up weapons which will make them vulnerable for easy targets, I prefer them to have infinite ammo.

-Sometimes Bots are unaware of their surroundings, where I can locate them through the radar but they can't locate me which makes the bots easy to melee from behind.

Improvements

-The higher the difficulty, the more accurate their shots but not increasing their fire rate like the Legendary AIs in Halo 2

-Increase there radius of awareness

Sorry but I don't think they will take your complain seriously, first all about your complaints are "Subjective", it really didn't focus on what it needs to be improve. It's more like, "I don't like this and that because of this and that, unlike this and that." You need to focus on what's in the game that needs improvements, not what's not in the game. Take your Subjective complains to yourself bruh. If you really want it to be a Mature type of game, go play a different game.

It's not only the sound design that makes the game feel less gritty and brutal but the stupid canned death animations from Halo 4 also ruin the realism. Who wants to watch a Spartan die the exact same way 100 times in a row after being shot with an AR?

I went on a 10 bot killstreak with the AR in one game and every single one died in the exact same animation. Like come on talk about immersion breaking.
The implementation of scripted/canned death animations is a massive letdown after having the beautiful physics from Halo 5. Why not just keep the ragdoll physics from Halo 5 which were so incredible?
I can't undestate it. This is a clear cut massive step backwards from Halo 5 that can't be denied.
At the very least just adjust it so that the canned animations aren't triggered every single time.
If someone is running backwards away from me and I shoot them down with an assauilt rifle they should just drop backwards due to the momentum built from their movement. If they're standing completely still and I gun them down then sure... trigger a canned death animation... but otherwise it makes little sense and makes the game feel so dated.
Halo 5's system worked to where the ragdoll effect was entirely dependent on whichever direction your enemy was moving at the time of their death.. their body would ragdoll in that direction based on their momentum if they tried to boost right as they died the ragdoll would be even more intense. If they're running backwards they'd fall back, if they were running forwards they'd fall forward.
There isn't even a ragdoll effect after hitting an enemy with the gravity hammer. Like what gives guys??

I must say, its weird that half the time melees launch the spartans farther than the gravity hammer, thats definitely the worst part of the physics for me. If they could at least change that I'd be happy
Oh, I didn't add this yet because I assumed its bot slayer only. But there are no betrayals, hopefully that's in PvP modes! Since right now its a bit unbalanced that you can lob grenades and fire at your ally who's fighting a bot and not worry about hitting your ally.

Bots tend to cluster together and get stuck near the overshield/active camo spawn in Live Fire.
I also saw a bot pick up a sniper rifle at its spawn in Live Fire, then stand still and shoot repeatedly at a wall, presumably at a player on the other side.

To continue clogging this forum, I saw somebody bring this up in the Halo discord. The AR seems a bit too solid at long range. Maybe add a bit of extra bloom there to encourage players to pick up weapons like the BR more, since right now the AR can beam across the map.
