There isn't really much for details on the weapons for the drills. No details on best use cases, how to use them (Heatwave drill says nothing about the alt fire), tips on how to improve. It would also be a really great time to provide bits of lore and history about each weapon. Right now, it's pretty bare bones.

Suggestion (Nitpick) - Lose the invisible wall for the drills. It feels a bit antiquated and would feel a little more in world if the player could just run around the map. The player could just not gain any points if they jump over the wall and shoot targets.

weapon drills do not work for me, whenever i click on it it just shows a picture of an assault rifle with no text anywhere

The issues I found

1: Sometimes when selecting a weapon drill, it kicks you back to the main menu as the drill starts.

2: Weapon drill completion level is not always recorded. The score is recorded and displays, but the stars are not visible.

I'd say the only feedback I can give for this flight is to remove the wall keeping us from entering the full arena so we can play with the weapons more while moving. Another is to fix the assets not fully loading by the time we are able to play the game, otherwise it works as expected.

Bug: In the weapon drill area, there is a fire extinguisher on the wall. Its texture is flipped horizontally. (All the text on it is backwards.)

The weapon drills are a great addition, however the quality of it is bare bones basic. Metal Gear Solid 1998 and MGS2 had VR missions that required a separate disc to even play. Within it was training simulator even tied to the main storyline. It is a bunch of tricky skill testing mini games filled with practice scenarios to prepare you for the main storyline and gameplay, and also to brush up and test your skill and ability. They weren't just poorly assembled there was time, thought and effort put behind the testing simulator that could consume your entire week or longer. It's even filled with comedy and humor. Sometimes the VR missions had plenty of parts harder than the story or gameplay itself, and you were even able to play as an unplayable character randomly as an easter egg, that goes to show the quality put behind it. Call of duty modern warfare had something like some sort of short time trial that caused the player to run around testing their mobility, accuracy, reaction times, and taught you to use equipment. In return it left a world wide long lasting impact on the players of the time, with the friends challenging each other to do the run faster and cleaner, overall improving the quality of players. It also became famous online to watch super clean runs, or good players do a run so others could follow and learn. Halo always had a theater mode, street fighter 4 also had one as well super smash bros brawl, however Street fighter let you download player fights to watch for entertainment or to learn. Youtubers even spent their time browsing high quality fights and uploaded them to their channels engaging the community, advertising the coolness of street fighter and the differences in players. The expansion on the halo infinite simulation / trials I am about to mention should be brief skill testing mini games designed to grade the player and improve the players quality. It should also be recorded in theater mode automatically so others can download and see how someone played if they like someone's score or time completed, and they should be able compete against it. The reason why is seeing someone's time trial score feels impossible when you cannot see what they did or how they did it. We cannot learn if we don't know how they moved, or how quickly they fired, or how accurate they were, or how many times they missed or simply lucked out. Crash team racing 1999 had a time trial mode to race against your own ghost, you were able to race against your own ghost or someone elses ghost that completed the trial. It helped the player challenge themselves to improve their race times by not making the same mistakes, or learning how to keep up. These things are what make a game feel like it has quality and love put into it. I played the multiplayer and was instantly confused and overwhelmed by the amount of new equipment and ways to use them as even the hotkeys were new. Those should be included in the training, and to further enhance the training / simulation / vr missions experience. An entire spartan training simulation should be created to teach people how to play, and how HALO should be played in general when it comes to using grenades, equipment, movement, radar use, how to fire, when to back down etc, when to push and be aggressive while perfectly throwing grenades in stressful elegant combat. ( good players would know the halo aggressive gameplay flow that im talking about, we are unstoppable forces in that moment ) For example of a trial, I'd like to start and be told to BE A SPARTAN and clean up mess, run through a trial while on strict time, or timed trial. Whether its strictly a mobility trial testing the players ability to move, a mobility and shooting, a shooting only, an equipment survival trial, stealth, a mixture of all, the longer the player takes to complete the if time trial, the less score and vise versa if the complex trial is score based. It should be unforgiving, it shouldn't be giving thumbs up or gold stars to bad players, the game should talk down to the player more frequently for poor performance as they are SPARTANS in the military, the elite of the elite. The current halo infinite score time trial literally gives you a high score or a perfect score for performing below average and getting poor scores. The game should NOT be rewarding or promoting that as it generates poor quality player base that are inadequate for online gameplay because the game didn't challenge the player to become better. I'm a good halo player, I want to be tested intensely and rewarded for my loyalty to the series I mastered. If a score is lack luster it should give the player a POOR score, not 2 out of 3 stars, 0 out of 3 with the person talking to the spartan roasting them, as its too forgiving and friendly. I believe the 3 star rating should be changed to 10 star or something more complex to clearly SHOW the difference of a REAL player / Spartan, and these trials should reward with SKILL BASED ONLY SKINS and unlocks that can only unlocked by being good achieving quality scores in the trials, or completing hard trials in general and never give these specific skill testing unlocks through a battlepass as it would disrespect the good players who actually put time and effort in making this game look good and enjoyable, as it is the good players that are key advertisers for the game. I am looking forward to a full overhaul and quality improvement on this as it could spark community challenges with score or time records, while improving the quality of players gameplay by setting examples for people to follow religiously. I want to be able to show the world I completed the trial or trials in a specific time or achieved a specific score which is difficult, so the better players can leave their scores and earn things that push and inspire people to raise their quality of gameplay to achieve. The battle pass system absolutely confuses me and I am more of a classic player that selects armors that I unlock, however there is too much to look at for classic halo players like myself. I understand its a learning process but wow even going from MCC to this, I got confused on how to choose armor but that may just be a me problem. The graphics do look good for a flight in progress, and the artstlye is great it does respect classic halo 1-reach so far, however I find the colors a little to stale or pale on the saturation compared to a juicy halo 3. Open Halo 3, load maps walk around you'll see why that game is so pretty and beefy looking. Reach was more gray on the colors because it was symbolizing the theme of doom, however still looked great. Halo was always weirdly unique with the shields and even had me play countless hours shooting them to watch their special effects as a child, the little details were cool and made you know you were playing halo. In Halo 1-reach hitting a spartan or elite had cool trippy visual and audible effects that reminded you were playing HALO, however the shield effects in infinite are lack luster, hardly there, and it takes away the feel that makes halo halo. Please try to review Halo 1-reach for the minor small details that made those games feel and look like a halo game, they may be very small and minute but they leave a good impression on people. The spartans talking is hilarious and the more savage or unethical the sentence the more I love the character! Gears of war was HILARIOUS when you finished off an enemy with a gnasher or anything, the characters would say something hilarious that made the experience so great you want to do it again. Please add more dialogue and more funny / high quality things so I can laugh more during my rampage or hard earned kills. You guys did a good job as there is no choice but to modernize the series, but please stick to the halo formula with the tiny details that made the halo 1-reach game feel like it was different than the rest.

Had fun with it. A bit bare as others have said but i am keeping in mind that it is an early flight. Wouldn't mind to see a little more instructions for each gun. More from the AI in movement.

As they are, the weapon drills are quite lacking and need to be better designed to teach the player how to use them optimally. One idea I have in mind, is to have the Heatwave's drills have bots behind cover that can only be hit by bank shots so it teaches the player to bounce their shots around corners.

The Bulldog's drill is especially bad because of how clunky it currently it is. It's a shotgun so you always want to get as close as possible but you are forced to take potshots from behind the wall. Would suggest making a killhouse type map.

I was able to play weapon drills for all of 10 minutes, and during that time the customization and battlepass tabs were visible to me. Any other time the weapon drills page leads to a picture of a rifle with no other text, the customizations page will load some text but nothing else, and the shop page won't show anything at all. I can still play against bots for some reason, but nothing else seems to want to work.

CQS48 Bulldog doesn't feel right, previously you shoot someone up close and they're dead but now it's like 2 or 3 shots with the "shotgun", I found myself picking up the shotgun loads in the past but now, I think I'll advoid it. Granted this is all being developed and everything but if this is it for it then your better off just grabbing a flag or a skull cause that'll be more effective. Weapon drills in their own do aid in understanding how weapons work and what effectiveness on the enemy it'll do. Back to my previous point about the "shotgun" it feels slower to use as well, it's like the "shotgun" got a major debuf for some odd reason, it might just be me thinking this or others, who knows... That said Halo's before this, shotguns have been far more superior than this one in close quaters combat.

There should be another option for vs AI and an option to choose a map. So that we as a player can experience our own play style weapon of choice.

New areas for weapon drills would be great! That, or from what I've seen other people saying, allowing the player to enter the firing range area, perhaps experiment with the sandbox via vehicles (or explosives, boxes, cans, etc.) would be an excellent addition!.

In terms of the firing range in it's current state, maybe there could be weapon information on the corner of the screen to explain the fire rate, ammo count, approximate damage, if the ammo is projectile based, etc. to kind of introduce a brand new Halo player with the world they're jumping in.

Bug: The scores rarely seem to save when a firing range test is complete

That's all for now!

- Sniper no scope hit box is way too small. I had the reticle directly on his head from the first barrier and missed multiple times.
