Nitro and Turbo

What thes upgrade actually do?

Nitro activates with shift, but besides a blue flame from car exaust, it seems it does nothing. Also, it seems it needs to recharge, but there's no information about this on screen.

About turbo... what does it do? I didn't notice any performance change...

Nitrous helps with acceleration. If you're already topped out, it won't do anything but if you just started a run and you immediately use it, it'll help out. Pretty sure turbo is supposed to increase your top speed? Haven't played in a long while, but if I were to base it on real world car stuff, more horsepower = faster acceleration, higher top speed, etc.

Nitro will actually slow you down if you're at top speed. It's more effective the faster you're going, so use it for that last little sprint to top speed
