1) I have a couple games that don't have FPS caps but I ended up not playing them a lot but for this one, I knew I'd be playing it so I downloaded MSI Afterburner which is meant as an app for overclocking your PC to get like max performance but there's an FPS cap adjustment in there to use. There might be other apps that are made to only cap FPS but I didn't look since MSI to me seemed trusted and legit so I just went with that one.
5) I uploaded my custom binding so maybe you can try that for PS4 controller steam://controllerconfig/1239690/2019301355
I like a lot about the game. I will leave a positive review on it but I'm lazy but I'll get to it soon!
My Suggestions:
==============
An "Auto" Mode - Something like just an automatic drive without any other cars on the road with no score/money. It will just be to appreciate the aesthetic and the music or just to play our own music with the game playing like a screensaver, it would be a really cool chill thing. I honestly would have bought this if it was only that. I wonder if maybe a floating camera could be used too or just different angles during the drive.
Trans Am - The first car is supposed to be a DeLorean which is an iconic 80s car because of Back to the Future and I think another iconic 80s car is the Pontiac Trans Am like from Knight Rider. I'm not a huge car person though so maybe the car is already on the list and I just don't know but it seems like there's some that are similar but not quite right.
Thanks for the reply.
I'll try this custom PS4 mapping asap !
About your suggestions :
I'm absolutely hyped by the idea of having an Auto mode, as i'm playing mostly to chill and not to score, i'd like to have the most relaxing experience.
Also a dynamic camera like in Replay mode in Rallys games would be great !
About the cars, i saw yesterday there was an update adding new vehicules. So that's great !
While i'm here, writting a new comment, i would add a new suggestion :
Why not having an incredible "Radio Menu" where you can choose from a audiotape and put it to listen the music.
Like this :
For real, i'm playing this game everyday since the release, huge fan and hope it'll help that i'm making all thoses feedbacks !
Have all a nice ride
For me at this moment only issues mentioned above:
- Lack of controller support (xbox in my case).
- Asking about confirmation when buying item/color. I clicked on the color to see what it looks like on a car, then I noticed that I bought it...
My suggestions:
- add some kind of slider for example to set traffic density on my own after we chose the level
- maybe after the setting montioned above some kind of radio menu to set song / song's order for a level, not necessarily my own music, but that will be also great
Besides that, I really enjoy the game, it's great!
I really like the traffic slider idea and it could also effect rewards. Max would be where it is now because it seems to be full enough as is and that is normal and if you slide it down for less traffic then it's 50% and if you slide it down more it's 25% of normal reward money and if you slide it all the way down to turn it off, that's the sort of free mode i mentioned before with no cash reward because you're just cruising on your own.
Also if i'm not wrong each maps have its own traffic density, Summer chill is way easier than City or rainy road. But yeah i think score system should adapt to the map and the challenges.
Also : defeat and score menu is a bit impetuous in my opinion. Sound and UI should be a bit smoothed to stay in this calm and relaxing mood.
Thanks guys to make feedbacks and take the time to read all of this, really cool
the game doesn't save the score
not all the imput buttons are available for gamepad.
My suggestions:
- a japanese theme map
- some wide curve would be fine
- cars suggestion: Lancia Delta Integrale, Fiat Uno Turbo, Chevrolet Corvette C4, Nissan Skyline GT-R R32, Fiat Croma
- pause button
ciao
Since I really liked the game, I really want to help in its development. I have a lot of ideas that can be improved or corrected. I'm afraid that there will be too much information in the format of one post.I will present my thoughts gradually-on different aspects of the game.. This is why I will add to my suggestions in the future.
Let's start with the sound in the game. Like I said, the music is great. Here are my suggestions: 1 IN the game settings, we can adjust the volume of music, but there is no setting that allows you to adjust the volume of other sounds in the game.you must add this option. During a trip to the car - the sound of the engine is heard very faintly, it is almost inaudible. 2 inexpressive and uninteresting sounds of a running engine, screeching brakes, tangent collisions of cars. I generally think that the sound of the engine running in all cars is the same. The sound of the engine must be different for different cars. You need to add sound to it, make it juicy and expressive. 3 We are driving along the highway, great music is playing - everything is great. At some point, we crash and the game abruptly stops playing music. This is bad. - This moment very much spoils the whole atmosphere of the game. I suggest that you don't end the music track after an accident, but turn the volume down by half or apply a sound filter to the music ( for example, music playing somewhere behind a wall). After we click the continue button, we go back to the beginning of the level and the music track again picks up its volume. This will better preserve the player's immersion in the game.
I still have a lot of suggestions for the game. I'll add them later.
The game does not move through the game menu using the keyboard arrows. That is, to select the game mode or settings, you need to use the mouse, it is quite inconvenient. We have to constantly move from the mouse to the keyboard - this is inconvenient. it would be nice if you could control the car in the game and navigate the menu only using the keyboard.
There are three positions of the game camera in the game ( they are switched with the C key). I would like to elaborate on this. View 1 (top and slightly back) - looks great, everything is fine. View 2 (behind the car 1 meter from the road) is normal. on some maps (rainy night, cyber-city) and others similar to them, there is one problem. There are strong highlights of the white pulsing neon light of the Central position of the screen. This is where the road goes into perspective and connects with the sun. Because of this, cars are not clearly visible on the roadway. This may cause an accident because the player did not recognize the other car in time. Disabling the bloom option in the graphic settings saves the situation - visibility improves. But the center of the screen does not disappear completely. This disadvantage must be eliminated. For example, the skyway map - visibility in the distance is excellent, there are no blinding lights. View 3 (from the cab ) the mode itself is interesting. But the implementation of this mode is simply terrible. The dashboard textures are muddy and illegible. The dashboard is the same for all cars. The speedometer and tachometer readings do not correspond to the actual speed. The rearview mirror with 1 static texture of the track is just awful. Ideally , it would be to make some beautiful, detailed and clear backgrounds of the dashboard of the car. Inspiration can be drawn from photos of the dashboards of legendary cars of the 70s and 80s
The game has buttons for controlling turn signals, emergency lights, turning on and off the daytime running lights and starting the car engine. Yes-it's interesting for the first few minutes. I played with them for a few minutes and then forgot about them forever. The problem is that these functions are not involved in the gameplay in any way. If it became possible to fit them into the gameplay it would be very cool.
Game interface.
The current position and the form of displaying game data are inconvenient. The current position of information about the speed of the car, the distance traveled and bonuses located on the right in the middle of the screen is very inconvenient. I can't keep track of the road and read information from it at the same time. Sometimes this causes an unfortunate accident. Ideally, it would be possible to develop a small dashboard stylized in the retro style of the 70s and 80s. Place the panel itself in the classic racing position in the lower right corner. It can display the current speed, tachometer, distance traveled and information about bonuses, and other elements.. As an example, I will give the dashboard from the game Power driver 2000. You can think of and style a very large number of dashboard options - if you only wanted to. This would add a lot of atmosphere to the game and increase the players ' immersion. It would be great if each car had its own unique dashboard. If this is difficult to do, you can develop at least three or four options and distribute them to groups of cars.
I noticed the following inconvenience. The game has an acceleration-nitro. But the interface does not display the nitro scale and the degree of its filling. the player can only guess how much acceleration he has in the current situation. Need a scale that would display the level of nitro in the car. it is also unclear the mechanics of filling the nitro scale: the hole is filled over time, or perhaps it is filled if the player is driving at a certain speed (for example, more than 100 kilometers per hour). There is another problem. In bomb mode, the textures and model of the truck are very dark. In fact, I see one large dark spot on the road. the truck's cab, chassis, and wheels are invisible, just a dark spot. You need to make the textures of the truck lighter, perhaps add more bulbs of its marker lights. The upper air spoiler mounted on the cabin is too bulky. it closes too much view of the road - as a result, it becomes difficult to drive the car. It is better to make it smaller or completely remove it.
I do agree with making the HUD display closer to the action so we don't have to look away from the road, I think just anywhere on the right side will work because our eyes go all the way to the left then need to scan towards right to read and if the HUD was on the right we only need to glance right and take in the information. I haven't thought of it before but that is probably why many HUDs in games are on the right side, for that reason.
I also agree that Bomb Mode needs more purpose. Just needing to drive fast is kind of funny, like the movie Speed but then after that, there's no reason to keep going. I think the timed checkpoints like SEGA's OutRun are a good idea for this mode.
