Burnout™ Paradise Remastered

For the ones crashing upon launch and later
Check if the game is running by your integrated graphic card or not because it will likely do.

The game will crash if your Windows username (not Origin nor Steam) contains non-ASCII characters such as indian, hebrew or chinese.

Try to deactivate any kind of recording software and plug out any usb devices to see if it changes anything. Finally, deactivate your camera or else if you have one because it will try to find one and if it's not ok for it, you'll crash either when you get to the DMV screen either when opening the menu. The camera is activated when pausing the game for some reason and this is a known bug. Anyway, the camera is useless in the remaster besides taking yourself a mugshot for your driver license so you don't miss anything.

Quitting RTSS (Rivatuner) and MSI Afterburner may let the game to finally boot in fullscreen otherwise check the guides to modify your config file if it has created one.

Uninstalling the following is also being reported as helping:
- Biggerasoft
- DXtory

Hope this helps!

Would it be a problem if I only have an integrated graphic card ? Thing is I can run heavier games then this one...
Well if you can run heavier games... This is the fault of this "remaster" then.

For me, it would always crash upon boot unless i changed the windowed mode in the config to 2 (borderless mode). When i quit RTSS limiter, it stopped crashing in full screen upon boot & Steam overlay finally worked, weird, so if you have RTSS frame limiter, might be worth a try to quit RTSS to see if BPR works
I try my best to gather the useful info alas every computer user is different and may require special modifications that only stop him/her.
Origin version being different, the lite thing they added surely create some new problems to the original ones..

This actually helped run the game smoothly. Thank you!!!
Happy to hear it :)

Try to disable any cameras/vr headsets, the game checks for any to use for its driver photos, if its incompatable, it will crash, this is how I fixed my copy months ago.

I do not understand, there were neither cameras, nor VR glasses and other things. Just a clean OS. The game still crashes after connecting to the servers. But when you turn on offline mode, the game works. But the meaning of the game is lost.
I use Windows 10 Pro 1909 x64. Two PCs and everyone has such a problem.

FOR NVIDIA USERS:
- First, open the Nvidia Control Panel. One way to do that is right-clicking on an empty space on the desktop and choosing Nvidia Control Panel from the menu.

- Navigate to 3D Settings > Manage 3D Settings.

- Open the tab Program Settings and choose the game from the dropdown menu.

- Next, select the preferred graphics processor for this program from the second dropdown. Your Nvidia GPU should show as High performance Nvidia processor.

Finally, save your changes. Your game should now run with the dedicated Nvidia GPU.

FOR AMD USERS:
- First, open Radeon Settings. One way to do that is right-clicking on an empty space on the desktop and choosing Radeon Settings from the menu.

- Navigate to Preferences > Additional Settings > Power > Switchable Graphics Application Settings.

- Select the game from the list of applications. If it is not in the list, click the Add Application button and select the *.exe-file of the game from the game's installation directory. This adds the game to the list and you'll be able to select it afterwards.

- In the column Graphics Settings, assign the High Performance profile to the game.

Finally, apply your changes. Your game should now run with the dedicated AMD GPU.

Hello, I would just like to emphasize the part about deactivating the webcam. I struggled for like 30 minutes wondering why it wasn't working until I found out I had a virtual webcam installed by FaceRig, and when I deactivated that one it finally worked!

This is becoming a hassle to debug.

And mostly because of that crap Orin integration ...

In regard to quiting RivaTuner and MSI Afterburner.

You can add a profile to RivaTuner for the game to fix it, so you don't need to quit the program to fix it.
