Are you all bots in here or something? Whats up with the positive reviews?
The game looks like it was made in Unity with premade assets lazily put together.
WHAT do you like about this game...?

Play Skyrim instead and change your character with sonic, you will get the same result.

The open world provides a new way to really enjoy Sonic's Speed. Being able to get from one end of an island the size of Xenoblade maps to the other in mere minutes, alongside finding ways to make that even faster is exhilarating, and truly shows off Sonic's touted speed in a way not possible in any other format previously.

This is also combined with the fact that the game's flags are generally loosely coupled, allowing you to approach progression as you want.

Want to do the mini challenges on the island? Sure! Want to shortcut them by breaking or skipping those challenges if you have the ingenuity and control? Why not! Beat enemies for resources instead? Of course! Skip all of it because Big the Cat is broken? We won't stop you!

And all of those things are things the series provided as gameplay, just now in a large abundance strewn about a map that I can play at my leisure.

tl;dr Game gives me goals and Sonic's speed in a large map, a lot of ways to solve those goals thanks to the large map, doesn't care how I accomplish those goals, only that I do. The game let's me have fun as I want.

I have to consistently write more at my job, this is nothing

What?
I watched a lot of videos before deciding if i will buy the game or not, and from what i see, i dont understand where the 6k positive reviews come from.

The open world plays like a very large sonic stage that I can freely explore and progress my way and the cyberspace maps gives me the boost style linear stages to race through.

Have you tried, I don't know, reading, or listening to what people are telling you? Or is your head too full of air for anything else to get in?

Also the thing about Steam's rating system is that its not a rating system, the game isn't a 9.5 out of 10 its just that 95% of people who left reviews liked the game enough to give it a thumbs up.

Yeah
Map Large
Sonic Fast
Shiny things to collect

Still doesnt explain the visuals and price tag AND amount of positive reviews.

Steam is a salt mine. And games like this dont survive in Steam.
