Please don't include online DRM in your games
Title basically. Look I loved this game, but I only recently discovered that I couldn't launch this game without an internet connection and it pissed me off. Denuvo is whatever for me, but if you're requiring an online check that's just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It's not just that I can't play this game sometimes, especially if I'm on the go, but it's about respecting your paying customers. There should be no reason pirates get a much better version of this game than actual people who support it.
SEGA is such a joke of a company that needs some serious changes.

EDIT: SO, after some testing myself, I found I was able to launch the game while being completely offline on my PC and even on my Steam Deck. What I think happened was, I had never launched Sonic Frontiers on my Steam Deck before and the game does a one-time authentication check online before you can launch it for the first time, and mine wasn't online at the time so it didn't work. FROM WHAT I CAN TELL, it looks like you don't need to be connected to the internet after the initial authentication.

EDIT AGAIN: Apparently Denuvo requires an online check every so often, not just the first time you launch the game, so yes it's a problem. Thread title still stands.

Sega don't even look at steam forums

No you wont
Shouldn't be online only but require periodic online checks, I don't own it myself (because of Denuvo) so I'm not sure how it is for this game but I agree internet requirement after install is BS for a Single-player game.

Edit: Another user was locked out for 24 hours when trying to fix a crashing issue they had while they had internet.

Probably community manager Katie@Sega or another community mod who is a chosen user by Sega. No one with real authority, other than reporting back if they feel the need. Doubt they're paying too close attention either way. It's not going as far up the food chain as you think, assuming again they are even paying that much attention.

I guess you didn't like that Steam account.

It’s probably not Denuvo then, some additional check developed by the devs.

If you can pirate it. So far the game hasn't been cracked yet, it could be cracked tomorrow or it could end up like Total War Warhammer 3, still uncracked nearly a year after release.

I think Denuvo has the option but it gets rarely used, though other checks implemented is quite possible.

Origins and Colors Ultimate not cracked still afaik with Colors being over a year but I think they just got lazy and didn't bother because another method exists and they settle for the worst version of the games.

Imagine going to a storefront and blatantly saying you're going to pirate their software.
