I really struggled with this at first. I recommend using quick cyclops and then stump. you can finish the first boss in 30 seconds, be ready to parry the second half,
The wyvern is the same, just practice timing.
Finally skip the shield by shifting right.
I do actually recommend changing the difficulty because it gives a larger parry window
hope this helps, there are some great youtube videos.
And keep at it this took me like 20 hours to succeed
I perfectly agree, that trolling and racist insult known as <<skill issue>> has to be condemned for good and banned from the whole existance no matter any eventual elaborations "built" (I've been going through it for too much time despite the numerous reports against anyone using it directly or indirectly).
And yes, changing difficult does NOT affect anything (if easy difficulty is excluded), nor when it comes the perfect parry, nor anything else about the hateful general difficulty spike which is completely out of control of any gamers...
Yes I use the quick cyloop with the cross slash works wonders right there. I got the wyvern down to 50% in a single strike. then the quick double perry comes in... FUUUUU!!! that's my main issue at that moment.
as for the difficutly then...i might, change it.
Except changing the difficulty to easy actually DOES increase the window for timing from about 3 frames to 2 full seconds, and you can see the difference in action on the ground before you approach giganto. “Skill issue” without an elaboration DOES need to be banned, so allow me to elaborate with helpful intentions.
For actual parrying tells, giganto and knights’ are generally when their arms are wound alllll the way back before they swing. When giganto does that thing where it looks like it’s dragging its arms, the camera will zoom in a split second before it whacks you one. In the first phase, when it attacks, and you grand slam it, it’ll IMMEDIATELY follow up with another. Parry, parry again.
For knight, the jury’s still out on whether its better to take your chances with the shield surfing phase, as it does do a LOT of damage if you land the hit and stun him long enough where you can melt 3/4 of its health with a cyloop and good enough combo.
That just leaves WYVERN. This thing is a fk.ing problem, as its hitboxes are NOT synced up with its animations. Here, right here is where you can see this level was scotch taped together. My best advice would be to boost, and then when you see it fire its missiles, pause spam until you can see the white blinking lights of one of the missile heads, then get into position to parry. Its claw swipe tell is (give or take) as soon as the claw begins to enter the camera view, and yea it’ll follow up with a second when low on health. It will also try to swipe immediately after its stun phase wears off so be on guard. Curiously, it’ll only let you quick cyloop once, but if you try it again it’ll try what can best be described as a parryable hip check.
I’ve found the key to surviving Wyvern is to do whatever it takes to do the “parrying missile” phase as few times as possible. My record is 3 times but Im sure it can be done in 2.
I mournfully acknowledge that it is easier said than done, but for those who… well,, “Break through at all,” parrying the hip check and the “recovered-from-being-stunned” claw swipe guarantee a grand slam opening.
As for actual combos, I’ve found that yes, the stomp does the most damage, but I’ve found that the targeting icon doesnt always register, but even moreso alternating cyclone kick and spin slash to not only fill up phantom rush in like 3 seconds to have stomp do even mroe damage, but the former two have a dope @$$ dps output on their own, especially adding the quick cyloop on top of things.
Just get used to it. Pay attention on red claws and red ribbons on its tail when it attacks you on Phase 2 after you did some damage. Second attack in Wywern combo should be parried slightly before it actually hits you.
And important tip - get the proper rest.
I spent 4 hours tomorrow trying and Wywern just violated me. I was so tired and frustrated.
But today did the challenge from my third attempt.
So don't give up on difficulty, it is pretty possible to beat it. But don't overwork yourself. You will get through it eventually.
1 Giganto cyloop counter attack for phase 2, or quick time events attacks, can be countered by just parrying once and just spam using quick step, also in Giganto first phase if you cyloop it a second time, keep spam parrying and stay as high up in the air as possible so giganto don't have the range to hit you. also i know Giganto spin melee attacks is delayed or to early, so parry when giganto is nearly going to end his spinning attack.
2 Wyvern if your super sonic and just press the quick step button once and hold it, for as long as possible, the quick step button you are invincible to all the missile attacks, also to see the missiles, be in the middle of the screen and it has a sound cue, if you hear the missiles getting louder, or the missiles near you, prepare to parry it, because those attacks is the only few attacks in trial 5, that are not delayed or to early. and the slash attack once you see the claw preparing to charge you parry it, or if the sound cue for Wyvern claw is at its loudest in phase 1 parry it. sadly Wyvern phase 2 claw attacks have no sound cue for some reason, so i was only able to beat Wyvern second phase in hard diffculty only once by pure dumb luck, of me spamming the parry button as quickly as possible in phase 2, when i reached the claw attacks, and hope i get lucky.
3 Knight basically use the sonic boom projectile, auto aim knight to counter phase 1, entire defence, and if knight uses the shield, quick step him to do a ton of damage, and phase 2, you have 2 choices to damage knight, you can try to parry the shield. or use the sonic boom projectile near the area, where knight is spinning around in a circle until all its health is gone.
but this trial is sad for me, because extreme difficulty for the 4 islands, is my favourite difficulty to play on, it just has to be Ouronos Island is where extreme difficulty goes downhill for me, because the release version of Ouronos in extreme difficulty is a boring grind, and update 3 Ouronos is fun for extreme difficulty for me, until the trial 5 shows up taking away all the fun.
This is the final horizon update. The challange is to take on all the bosses with a fixed stats, limited amount of rings (and they don't refill after every defeated boss), and you have to "perfect" parry. What do they mean by perfect? Do they mean by holding the button down? NO!
I'm talking about the Final Horizon master trail. This is isn't the normal boss fights, your stats are fixed plus with 400 limit rings to beat all 3 bosses. All while having to perfect parry.
