y'all made me disappointed
"Is too hard", "is unfair kaizo level", "this is imposible"...
Me playing and waiting for those towes and trails, and at the end I manage to do all of it first try with a lot of time to spare + the towers are not hard at all (I was like, IT'S THAT IT!??)

dont get me wrong It was fun af, but i espected said "to hard" part

now my little update 3 review:

pros:
+ the level desing is better
+ characters are hella fun to play with
+ the writing is really good, and explains A LOT of stuff that is not explained in the base game
+ music 10/!0
+ the mini bosses are hard and challenging for once
+ the final boss IS PEAK
+ the whole ending overall is a HUGE HUGE improvement over the original one
+ the new cyberspace levels are the most fun I had in a boost linear sonic game

cons:
- the blocks and platforms in the open zone look AWFUL, hope Sonic team keep the level desing but work more the look of it
- knuckles glide is kinda annoying to control
- some animations are really really janky
- some bugs here in there that I hope got fixed soon, but they dont break the gameplay

final score for this update is a solid 8/10

Completly agreed. The DLC suprpased my admitly high expectations and made a peak game even peaker in my opinion. The fact that they listened and added a Boss Rush minigame without og Supreme AND allowed you to play with the other characters even if it's on the updates map due to the design of them is exremly goated. Seems like Sonic Team is slowly getting the hang of it again and with Sega increasing the budget of Sonic games like what they done with the peak eras of Sonic: the Adventure and 4kids era. The future for our blue Shonen hero looks bright once again indeed.

People so used to auto boost gameplay they've forgotten how to platform in a platforming franchise.

I like how hard it is for the most part but the first two tower trials are stupidly hard while 3 and 4 are a joke, and the boss rush tower seems to REQUIRE speedrunning tricks to preserve your rings and damn near frame perfect timing to parry Wyvern's slash attacks so you can actually kick it's ass. I like HARD games, not rushed, imbalanced, quantity over quality ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that goes from "hey I can just break all this platforming with Amy's card glide lol" to "I am going to rocket my controller into the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sun."

just finished the true final boss and i gotta say, aside from that last trials parry window on hard being literally only 2-3 frames, everything else about this update i absolutely love, blew my expectations outta the water!

Can someone PLEASE explain what "find something to do other than attack THE END" means???????? I've been fighting this thing for two hours straight just trying to figure this out, I've tried cylooping, cylooping again, trying to find a button prompt by flying around the thing, but there's literally nothing I can find that finishes this fight

I agree that people are overreacting in their skill issues, but i would not say it's ''easy'' unless that's the difficulty you were playing on.
And while a lot of the challenge is awesome, and fun to do, some of it IS unbalanced.

Its a really fun update i agree with your review on it.
Overall, people just need to stay calm and stop complaining about it in a fit of anger.

The dlc as a whole wasn't that hard, but the challenge where you have only perfect parry for 3 back-to-back titanfights with fixed stats and no way to get more rings is straight up the biggest difficulty spike I've ever seen in a game.

These titan fights were NOT made for a frame-perfect parry in mind. Most of the attacks are completely unreadable and hit you at seemingly random points, and the second titan in particular can't even be hit without 2 back-to-back parries. This is the ONLY point in the entire DLC that I'd even classify as hard. I switched to easy mode and still only barely beat it with 30 rings left.

Knock the cord off by attacking the head with a quick cyloop combo or sidestep into a kick so you can target the cord, knock him down and then cyloop the cannon above his head

This is probably my biggest problem too, the pop in was a mild annoyance at worst in the original game, but flying breaks it to insane levels. You know when in other games you go out of bounds and see things disappear and pop up at random? Yeah its just like that here.

Finale was cool as hell, I just wish we got to see more from Cyber form instead of having it play in a cutscene until its gone for good. Also Sonic getting "SA2 Shadow'd" and casually getting up as if it was merely a scratch was.... weird. You can see him being all beat up, unconscious even, but once he falls down to earth its like nothing happened.
Agreed pretty much on everything, except I can excuse the blocks and platforms in the open zone looking weird and bad because the level design is good and if they wanted this level design to also look good they probably would have needed to create either a whole new island or a lot of new custom assets and this update would have probably taken at least half a year more to come out.

That’s exactly what I was thinking, I saw practically everyone online seething so I thought it would be more of a challenge.

You're so addicted to games that don't even know what a game should be.
