Some faction quests are just ridiculously hard (if you have bad luck) [RESOLVED]

I really wonder if I have very bad luck!!!
My first faction quest (when my fame was 200) was to find a stun trigger.
I thought it was a piece of cake, as I was about to explore the world and meet with every item-selling merchant. At that time my world exploration is 5%, my exploration fame was 100+, as I got my 200 fame from trading

Now after many hours have past in endless exploration in this game...

I explored 35% of the world ... my exploration fame is now 600 and I lost count of how many items merchants in various cities that I have met.
I have NOT found a single stun trigger in this particular game.
I also go into every grove or cavern and fight any monsters that I come across, hoping to find a stun trigger. I did not find any.

To add insult to injury, I was not able to cancel the quest in the guilds.
I went back to the faction, and was told that I will lose -10 faction points to cancel that quest.
OMG!!! 10 faction points. After countless hours of searching in all the dungeons, I was able to find 5 sets of lost parchments which give me 10 faction points. Now after days of playing this game, I am going to wipe out my 10 faction points, just because I cannot find a stun trigger???

I know the stun trigger item is just a random drop from monsters, or a random sell from merchants ---- but considering the number of hours I have played, and the very bad luck, I just cannot find a stun trigger in this game. (In another games, I found one at a merchant near the start of the game).

So.... any advice from the developer on how to improve on faction-based fetch quests, like the one I just mentioned?

You can unlock new items in ports by investing in them. Unfortunately I don't know which port sells stun triggers.

fyi just for all those looking i found the locations for the fire trigger which is in granserf and the life trigger is in chrysal farms will up date more later

Sorry about that! Stun Trigger was not meant to be among the requested items for that quest. I'll fix that.

You can acquire one from Los' Secret Shop which is located in the northern Riverlands, at a point exactly between Condra, Trusqa, Northpoint, and Dolor..

Thanks a lot, Rad. Just got the Stun Trigger, and this is probably of the most tiring quest that I have done. Well, I always have an affinity for really bad luck :) :) :)

Congratulations. You're the second to have such bad luck. I had a similar experience with a Megabomb being a Royal Quest, and none of the merchants told me where it was. Glitches happen. > _ >

Hahaha... I also loved the royal delivery quests. Got 2 quests to deliver documents to Searth which is just nearby. It is a piece of cake, and I got to Rank 6 (Elected) just by doing a few very easy deliveries.

I have been looking for the mega bomb (does anyone know where to get), i agree the main story for factions needs to be clear

The Megabomb is in Los Secret Shop, the location is given by Rad Codex (blackened to avoid spoiler) just a few post above. I have also seen it sold in various other secret shops as well, but you only need 1 megabomb for the story quest.

Any advice on where to get Silk? I have to get 10 for my first Royal quest. I got info in gossip that it can be bought in Dominio but I can't get there, there is a wall in my way.

There is a port in the west that sells silk. I'd suggest loading up on food, and exploring that area.
