Good basic take though that has been brought up .. again for passed 7-8 Years.
I have over 800 hours on the game with many playthroughs as different races and types (fighter / mage / rogue), and I guess I never found the combat to be particularly bothersome.
YMMV, and evidently does.
I'm all for the customer is right mentality, but AAA developers catering to gamers when they rage about stupid sht like this is turning gamers into whiny babies when they don't get their button mashers dork souls like combat.
Yeah, the fast-paced reaction-based dark-souls style combat isn't really good in Dragon Age because Dragon Age isn't that kind of game lmao
The combat also feels very floaty and hits lack impact, I don't feel like I'm hitting anything with swords and the magic projectiles feel like Nerf darts.
Out of all of them 2H for sure feels the best, but not by much.
But yeah. Thank you all for the responses. I may give this a second go someday, but I doubt.
