GTA IV taking random screenshots?

So, I found that a couple of users are having this same issue. I have the screen shot key unbound for Steam. It just started happening today.. all of a sudden steam tells me it's taken 100+ screenshots... I have not idea what could have caused it but it's freaking annoying and it.

This is copy that I bought and dowloaded through Steam.. I did install the LCPDFR Mod, However that was about a week ago. So, not sure if anyone has had this same issue.

I'm having this issue too. Just installed LCPDFR. I've disabled Steam community in-game but it's still taking automatic scrrenshots. Anyone got any ideas on how to stop this?

Just found out how to resolve it. It's because I'm using the Xbox 360 controller I believe. If you keymap Shift+Ctrl+Alt+Scroll Lock to the screenshot then it should stop it

I just did that after reading that fix in another post and it is still doing it. I am surprised to see posts back in 2012 reporting the same issue as I have had this game for years and it only just started doing it today.

Just so you guys know, even with their "new" complete edition including steam achievements and such, this bug still exists.

Unbound screenshot key and connected Xbox One controller, even when playing with a keyboard. Takes thousands of screenshots until Steam crashes in the background.

3 years late. If anyone still has that issue, if nothing else works, just disable Steam Overlay. It is merely a workaround, considering it's required for taking screenshots, but it's the last resort.

Also, protip: while it says so on the side of screenshot gallery, I will put a special emphasis on that you can use shift+click to mass select all unwanted screenshots to clean up.

If someone from the future happens to find this thread, remember: You’re not alone. Rebinding the screenshot shortcut in the desktop client (not big picture) fixes the issue.

dont work. i rebound it, but game save clips all 10 seconds and screenshots
