Seriously. Proton's compatibility is amazing. You might as well be running it on whatever turn-of-the-century machine it was designed for.
Works for both max payne 1 and 2.
Right click in your steam library, go to local files, browse.
Then ctrl+shift+right click the exe. Go to compatibilty and run in compatibility mode for windows 98/Me.

It doesn't work for me at all. I downloaded the whole thing as instructed but the fixpack wouldn't start when i click on the game as it should have and instead just stays on the running screen with no changes
sometimes the game is stuck in the background, you either have to end it from taskmanager or reboot before it will run again.
