'Max Payne requires a DirectX 8 compatible display adapter...' [SOLVED]

i try to run the game and the error above pops up. I used to be able to play the game on another laptop that ended up getting stabbed to death. Now on my new laptop because of the Ryzen 3 graphics card whatever, the game wouldnt work, then i downloaded the mod that fixes that, and the game still wouldnt, launch then i discovered another mod that fixes the lauch stall glitch here are the links to those mods:

Now whenever i launch the game, a white window pops up and says ERROR: Max Payne requires a DirectX compatible adapter, look at the manual for information.

I looked up this problem online, and alot of it was unhelpful, the only resolved thread was when a guy used a different graphics card
