How to directly boot the game and skip/bypass the launcher?
Hey everyone,

I am trying to play this game on my couch in Steam Big Picture Mode and have made myself a nice controller profile, but it is always a nuisance and hassle to reach out to my Keyboard and Mouse just to confirm the Play button on the Game Launcher...

So is there a way to skip the Launcher and boot directly into the game? Do I have to change something in the game files or make a custom BAT file (if so, how)?

Help would be appreciated and thanks in advance!

No, you can't. The launcher is made for us to change any settings we want or configure, and especially the mods options in the center of the launcher when we want to switch to different mods. Same with Max Payne 2.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thank you darkje !
It worked.

Game runs fine with my Linux system with Valves new PROTON layer.

I know it's late but when I run the command (-nodialog) the antialiasing doesn't work

Antialiasing doesn't work right anyway with this game, you have to use external options to get it working as it should.

You read about it in my guide, in the section about the image quality:

It also ignores any changes made in that dialog, including reducing color depth to x16. I get raindow looking shadows if I use -nodialog.

sounds like you're trying to display 16bit color on a 32bit screen? I don't think windows11 supports 16b color anymore, at least not without creating a custom resolution.

edit: maybe if you create a shortcut to the exe and set compatability to reduced color mode?
