Save data lost upon restarting computer
Is anyone else losing their save data when they restart their computer?

I love this game, but it is literally unplayable if I can't save progress from day to day. I need to turn off my computer sometimes!

Might be cloud sync.

Try right clicking the game in steam library > properties > updates
uncheck cloud sync.

Thanks for the timely reply I will try that an update this post

So cloud sync isn't selected, so I guess that isn't the problem?

Is no one else having this issue?

Not caused by the game or steam then. My bet would be some sort of clean up software on your computer.

Clean up software?

I doubt it, honestly. I've never had this issue with any other games with steam or blizzard or any other client....

Sorry. Out of ideas. Only time i've heard of something like that is cloud sync error where it wipes your saves. Check your drive, see how much space is there, and run the disk cleanup.

Windows key + E
Find your drive (normally C)
Right click
properties, disk cleanup

That fixed it, thanks. I'm not sure why it has to be on to have save data, but oh well!

I never have it on. Disabled entirely on steam for all games. Weird one.

Yeah odd right? I had origin do that to me with sync on.

This solution helped for me.

It seems my cloud save was full for this game. I unchecked it in Steam and cleared some space.

Dunno if it's important, but I also removed the file "Player_RA_settings_1.bin" in my Steam folder.
It can be found in "...\Steam\userdata\271031\1213210\remote".
It will be recreated once the game launches again.

This helped with Red Alert, I've seen people having the same problem but with TD also.
I guess it works the opposit way then.
