I'm legit asking.
its cliche pushing the oppressive catholic church in dire need of reform, also you play a women and she behave like a feminist in the 16th century at times. Also the peasants revolt is a little bit too much portrait on the proto communist side. Martin Luther for example stood against the peasants revolt which is not portraits at all. I am not saying its a bad game at all and i really enjoyed it tho. But some more historical neutrality, less cliche and more realism would be nice. People try to paint the characters from a 21 century point of view. But the people back then had totally different angles to view things.
-What makes Marget act like a modern feminist? Because you are given the option to stand up to yourself? or is it because she asks questions? Some of the women and men even criticize her for even daring to take her father's work. The persistent even tells her that women should only be housewives unless they take the Lord's work. Furthermore, you can control her behaviour to fit the player.
-Why do peasants standing up and revolting due to extremely heavy taxes that are starving them made you jump to communism? It makes sense that they don't want to eat only sawdust. Again bringing an ideology that doesn't exist in these times is ridiculous. People who are oppressed usually don't want to stay oppressed and will oppose the oppressor if given the chance.
And another big question what is historical neutrality in your views? Because this game is very heavily accurate to history. I didn't feel it pandered to any side of modern social-political problems. It seemed focused on the problems that a 16th-century village would have. Albeit it is dramatised for entertainment.
Please read some George Orwell, a godamned Socialist to his dying day, but probably the fairest and most truthful critic of both left and right.
