Mods
I had a poke around and after some extensive searching, apparently Keen have said that (as of right now) there is no plan for official modding tools/Steam Workshop.

I have noticed however there are already 8 mods on Nexus so people are indeed creating them.

My big question is, if you could mod anything into Enshrouded, what would it be?

Personally 99% of what i'd want is building tools like symmetry and custom 'brushes' to build with like a utility you can export them from into the game.

What about everyone else? anything you think is missing that probably won't end up in the full release?

No one will ever call Shader-Stuff as mods. Those are cheapass attempts of gaining attention to their profile, as all of those shader-creators cannot mod in a traditional sense.
There are literally no mods for it, as there are no interfaces (like for example UE4SS for Unreal games, or BepInEx for Unity games) to mod the game, at all.

What I recall Keen saying was that there were no plans to make mods allowable during Early Access, **right now**, but that they like the idea of game mods and it will probably be allowable in the future.

Your post seems to be kind of "phishing" for what players may want so you can get started making the mods and get them out before anyone else does. If I'm wrong about that, I apologize. But I see NO reason to make mods at this point because the game is still VERY early in development and so much could actually change before 1.0 is released. I would imagine that Keen would like the opportunity to develop their game, in their vision, FIRST before allowing others to modify it - and maybe even creating mods that the Devs already have PLANNED for the full release. It would be stepping on their toes, and IMO... almost disrespectful. Let Keen develop the game and after it's released, THEN start talking mods.

the only one disrespectfull here is you.

and i see this topic as a reffrence for future mod makers to see what the people want.

- A pause button for single play.
- A (traveling?) merchant.

Map markers (like a pickaxe marker and house marker) and ability to write text on them like in Valheim. Currently 20 hrs in and this is the one that i feel should have been implemented for the getgo. Craft from storage is a big plus already so im fine with everything else currently, because cant think of anything else.

I wish shader settings/configs werent a thing allowed on _modding sites_, they just clutter it all up and they arent mods.

Same with cheat engine tables (mem reg hacks)

While you can't put text on them, there are markers you can use on the map.

A few more image & colour options would be good, pickaxe tag would be handy for showing mining spots.

Hopefully they will support mods in stable release of game. I wanna see combat overhauls, total conversion mods with new mechanics, npcs, quests and monsters. I want this game to be Co-op Skyrim.

Hell yeah! I fully agree! Those SweetFX, ENB, Reshade ♥♥♥♥ presets are BS and do not count as real modding. The Nexus is full of this crap and I really dislike those guys.

A sandbox mode. Basically, you start a singleplayer instance and you can spawn, craft and build whatever you want instantly and at will. With infinite resources at your disposal, with the ingame content (dungeons, etc) as optional/decorative.
a persistent roots/shroud stay gone mod

I'm desperate for a better character creator mod. More hairstyles, more hair colours, new faces, ect...
