Stop giving me party members!
I'm up to 20 now, i'm never gonna use most of them. I also know that enough important fights are gonna require new class 7 so sticking with them to develop those link lvls is the only thing that makes sense. So why do i need 15 more people?!

Yeah, from what I can remember, you're free to use the whole class 7 (old and new) in the later stages (including final dungeon), except when they force some specific characters in the party.

Yeah. It is a bit ridiculous.

I mean choice is nice. I hate how you were pigeon-holed into using Juna, Kurt and Musse for the final of CS3, but this game has the opposite problem. I suppose I'd rather have too many than too few, but it still could have used a bit of trimming.

Don't like them, don't use them. Why asking the devs to remove options for other people?

This game is a culmination of the 8 prior games that came before it, so of course it's going to have a huge roster. That is to be expected.

It even says right on the store page "Boasting the largest roster in series history." So if they removed that feature without also changing the marketing blurb on the store page simultaneously, then that would be false advertising.

And if were they to remove that feature, then it would also cause almost no one to buy the game, since in that case it would have been butchered from its original Japanese version.

And we have Square Enix that keep reducing party size in Final Fantasy. Do you want that instead?

I'd be more concerned if Kiseki kept the number of party members but made them all a mix of old evil dudes wearing black and boyband dudes wearing black. :Mishy:

When people complain about having more options in the finale (sorta) of a major arc. People will never be happy :steamfacepalm:.

I was quite happy to see my old protags and characters from past games. :) However I would have liked to be able to fully customize them. Some of them register as "guests" and have clones of existing master quartz locked into their slots, which made me somewhat sad. They also have less crafts than your regular crew, and only one S-craft. :(

Although the game has a huge roster, it tend to split teams up and still reduced your choices by some. So far I have not felt too overwhelmed about choosing the ones I wanted to use most.

game usually forces you couple of them so eventually you will use all of them. only hassle is changing the equipment and quartz between them.

Yeah, through the whole of act 2 you get 6-8 people you can bring with usually 2-3 are locked and 1 flexible between a limited set of choices. The roster of choices to choose from keep growing though. something like 18-25? Assuming we get more bracers and SSS.

The point I was making is it feels like a false choice, The game has already proven in this title alone that it will limit me to just the NC7 when the chips are down. so my only real choice is who to use on trash. Except that who you use on trash matters too as the NC7 have notably worse link lvls compared to everyone else so if you want similar benefits you have to use them all the time forever to even reach parity with the expanded group. Or am i missing something here?

So I am in part having a laugh over this, it keeps throwing more warm bodies at me that the same game is de-incentivising me from actually using. Outside of favoring a specific character from elsewhere in the series and forcing myself to use that character when possible, it doesn't seem to add to the game. 'insert joke about Millium not even being one of the multitude of choices here'

evasion tank fie, one hit wonder laura and nuker emma is okay for the most game if you can use them, you don't have to use new C7 if you don't wanna. I certainly don't. Fie and Emma's brave orders are also OP

some people use jusis for his craft, gaius for his broken s craft spam. some people use angelica instead of laura. some people use alisa to compliment fie and rean and so on. if the game doesn't force you, new c7 is not necessarily better than old ones.

From what I remember, you're never forced to use only new class 7 in this game, unlike at the end of CS3.

Edit : By "this game", I meant the later portion of the game. Sorry if that wasn't clear enough.

end of fragments, 2 bosses in a row and 1 is not easy. You saying this is the only time?
