Dear Capcom, please stop trying to prevent mods from functioning

Mods are literally the only reason I bought this game and RE4 Remake. I would not even have considered buying them if it weren't for them, nor will I consider buying your future games if you block modding in them.
Stop whatever you're doing trying to prevent mods from functioning.

Agreed. I already owned a ton of Capcom games on console, and I bought them all a second time on PC because of the amazing mod communities, so this is a total slap in the face.

Mods are the only way anyone can experience REVR on PC. Capcom is doing a disservice if they add this DRM to other games.

Instead of ruining their games for the customers who buy them, they just play into the hands of pirates.

And why don't they just ban that SF6 player instead for lifetime instead of ruining the gaming experience for everyone.

I myself don't care for mods but I only know how much Anti-temper from Denuvo for example ruins the performance and if my PC is not up to par with the specs because of DRM, I won't be buying either.

Can't wait for more excuses from the sites of Capcom to ruining theirselves.

As much as I hate to say, this. The fact is, there will be a decrease sales in future games.....but VERY VERY small decrease, if any. Decades of game history has shown so.

People will keep putting up with company's bad practices as long as they want to play the game bad enough. Pay2Win, mtx, lootboxes, 1-DayDLC, etc. I don't like it, but its just a hard fact. Recent example, RE4R is *commercially* & critically praised, even with Denuvo in it.

We live in a world where tons of people keep buying EA's games. So...

I know by the time the next teaser for DMC6/RE9/[pick-your-fav-capcom-franchise] comes in a few months, people will scream in hype and forget everything. and things "reset". Rinse and repeat.

Even if they do, that won't magically ensure that nobody else will do that ever again on a live event. The natural corporate kneejerk reaction in these cases is to nuke all possibility of it happening again, so they spent the past few months trying to find a software that could do that. Most any large game publishers would be doing the same in response of a PR nightmare like that, their shareholders would be demanding the same thing to ensure the stock prices never drop because of dumb players.

Although Capcom is pretty hypocrite too. I mean, when you look at characters like Dimitrescu and her daughters it's so obvious that they were literally begging for stuff like that to happen.
