Final boss is awful.
After getting through this game after putting off from the terrible intro, i actually enjoyed it the rest of the way through a lot, but the final boss is just terrible.. Compared to the other more interesting, and fun boss fights it had.. This is literally a small circle with little to no ammo or health, just spamming attacks over, and over.. And theres no reason at all for the boss to have as much health as it does.. It just feels like artificial difficulty, and rushed last boss..

it's the game's last boss, you're not supposed to sit down and have tea with her.
you have a chance to buy ammunition if you fail and more ammo spawn when the mold pillars are hit.
The room you have in the fight is more than enough to avoid all the attacks (yes, even when she turns into a spider). Even if you can't avoid all of the attacks, blocking and making use of one or two healing items will do.
Learn from your mistakes and get better instead of whining.

Nah its pretty trash compared to the other bosses by A LOT. Its generic as it can get. xD Theres barely any mmo, and if you have no money youre screwed. lol Poorly made. I beat it, but worst part of the game, alongside intro.

Yeah... You shouldn't be that low on ammo unless you're REALLY bad at shooting on the easier difficulties or avoiding enemies on the higher ones.

Still, I'll offer some tips.

1. Make sure you've eaten as much of the food as you can. The increased health and blocking will go a long way towards your survival. If you didn't grab the food, do it on your next run. It's legitimately possible to obtain all dishes in a single run.
2. Blocking is your friend. As dumb as it is, Ethan's arms are capable of stopping a drill from getting to his chest and messing up his insides. It'll save you a lot of health over time and make those heals extra valuable.
3. Craft ammo and heals. You should've gotten enough for a few extra heals and more than a few clips. This will also vastly extend your ability to survive.
4. Flashbang can end her dark phase early. Just have to make sure it hits her while she's charging you or just after she hits you. Otherwise, she won't be there for you to hit.
5. When she grabs you with a root for the final exchange, you have unlimited ammo. Whip out your magnum and blast her face off.

I bat her not long after i made the forum, but its still very bad boss.. Very generic.. Very lazy. Compared to the other bosses it was just dissapointing, especially for the final.. Thats just my opinion. Also there shouldnt be any situation in a boss where i just run out of weapons to use against them.. Thats really bad game design imo.

That's the funny part. You'll never run out of weapons to use.

A knife can be used on her and chip away at her health until she forces you to pull your gun out (at which point you get to use it regardless of your ammo). A knife is actually pretty valuable against Heisenberg phase 2 because he can't really hit you. Every single enemy can be downed with a knife. The only exceptions are obvious and coded so you'll never be soft locked.

Is it gonna be the most effective? Hell no, unless you're using the lightsaber which you probably won't have. Karambit is pretty good on damage but still outdone by the magnums, the rifle, and the launcher.

there is every boss terrible in this game, except the 2nd dimitrescu daughter and this giant hammersmith

That's a good point. I ended up forgetting about blocking.

During the game I tried but always ended up with an enemy on me before I thought to block.

Eventually I forgot about block, since I could never get it to work for me.

I managed to beat the last boss first go though. Although by the skin of my teeth. (Played on normal difficulty.)

Excellent game.

How did you get to the end boss without blocking?! You must be a top player.

It's not hard. I maybe blocked twice during the whole game and it wasn't necessary when I did. If you know how to exploit the AI, you can usually run in certain paths that will minimize damage.

Also didn't block with the final boss, just sprinted in a circle and hid behind some trees during one of the forms when explody bits were happening.

A knife does not "chip away" her health. Like all last bosses since RE7, the knife has the highest damage boost and average dmg/hit on her. Well, almost, the sniper is actually the best weapon but the magnum is, for example, severely nerfed against her. So, the intended strategy is to shank her until she floats, then use the sniper to shoot her.
Granted, she is not as a pushover as the final bosses of RE7 and RE2R, where you can kill them with 1-5 slashes on max difficulty, but the knife is one of the highly recommended weapons against her.

If you're using the Karambit, you will be doing chopping more than chipping. Still far from matching the Magnums though. The basic survival knife you can't sell though? It deals very little damage. You'll do better with any shotgun over the pocket knife.

Trust me, the survival knife is not that useful in this game when it comes to damage.

Shouldn't be that hard. As long as you collect enough scrap to craft sniper rifle ammom you should be fine. Shotgun can one shot the villagers as long as you aim for the head and handgun ammor is even more plentiful.

What I ended up doing was emptying the magnum into her face when the fight started, dropping a big pile of landmines on one spot to give her a very unpleasant enema when she crossed that spot, then using a heavily upgraded shotgun (the last one you get in the first playthrough) to continually shoot her in the face.

I only had a few grenade launcher rounds other than flashbangs, unfortunately.
