village? seriously? Naming a whole title after one of many locations in game? Of course you need that VIII push into title somehow. What are you going to do with RE IX? Call it Resident evil IXTREME or some sh*t? :D Other than that cant wait. Looks more like amazing RE4 and less like mediocre RE7. Thats cool.

To be honest, I think Village is a genius name, even though a bit cheesy. Also It will probably be at least 70% of gametime in the village anyways, so I don't mind it being called like that.

it was the game that ruined the series. it sold to people who liked KUNG FU leonardo dicaprio and some annoying spanish midget and people with shields. shallowed the whole series for years to come. its overated as hell.

nah RE4 was groundbreaking game that created new genre and actually make RE interesting again. Moved from obsolete tank control into new and cool style. Great characters, story, locations, Leon was badass af, great bosses and monsters. Everything about RE4 is amazing. Damn even RE5 is still much better compare to terrible garbage RE7.

disagree on pretty much everything you said. the boss battles were even reduced to hollywood style QTE's moments which were incredibly boring. with tons of over the top action, way more than before. even fighting helicopters, with michael bay explosions and people shooting rockets at you non stop........ it was an awful RE title.
