iyi Bir VR Oyun!

So far it makes me feel like im cleaning in real life. guess ill clean in vr instead of real life.

I definitely think that with some re-tooling, House Flipper VR can be a lot better than House Flipper (pancake). However, as it stands now, I find House Flipper (pancake) to be a more fun, & addicting game than House Flipper VR. House Flipper VR just lacks the depth of it's Non-VR counterpart.

House Flipper VR basically has two modes. There's a jobs mode where you basically go from job site to job site and just do the different tasks required. Then there's the housing market mode where you buy a house, then fix it up and decorate it any way that you want. It took me about 5 hours to complete the jobs mode (100% for each job and end credits). And I spent a little less than 2 hours on the housing market mode, buying 3-4 houses and fixing them up and decorating them a bit.

Unfortunately, what really brings this experience down, is the VR interactions. They are just too basic. You have this toolbelt around your waist, where you have all your tools for doing the required tasks. I was often grabbing a different tool than the one that I wanted. Even when I got the correct tool, using the tool wasn't very immersive. For example, for the trash picker, you just basically have it aim towards the trash and then press trigger. The trash then magically disappears. You don't actually have to use it to grab the trash or even put it in a trash bag. It's more like point and click.

The rest of the tools are just as bad, if not worse. For example, for painting, you can stand several feet away from the wall and you will paint through objects in between you and the wall. Stuff just gets magically painted. It's more like using the fill tool in MS paint than an actual real-life painting tool. You also use a small hammer to knock off paint from the wall. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be House Flipper HGTV version or fantasy magical house flipping.

You also can't really do much with the houses other than decorate them with a limited amount of preset objects. It lacks the variety available in the non-VR version where you can actually knock down walls and change the layout of the house. While the pancake version has an addicting pace with lots of goodies to unlock, the VR version just seems slow-paced and limited.

You do have full locomotion and snap turning available, along with teleportation and a vignette comfort option. The game ran fine on my RTX 3080 on the Oculus Quest 2 using the Oculus link cable at a steady 72 frames per second at the highest graphical settings. I did not experience any major bugs, but I did experience several annoying bugs such as locomotion not working when you had an object in your hand. I believe that bug has already been fixed though. I will say that the devs have been very active in updating this game.

The devs do plan to add more content, along with fixing some of the issues with the game. However, I don't know that they will improve the VR interactions. Even stuff like opening doors is clunky in this game. None of tools felt great to use and that really is the biggest issue in the game. If that can be improved, then my opinion of this game would change quite drastically. Until then, I have to say that I had a lot more fun playing the pancake version than the VR version.

If you are looking to compare this game to the flat screen version you will be disappointed. This game lacks some of the best stuff from the flat screen game (breaking down walls, the amount of items, can't change the floor..) and some of the tools just aren't as satisfying. BUT if you are playing this without thinking of the flat screen game then its a pretty good time! Yes the controls are kind of fidgety and take some getting used to but it is still satisfying to clean up a place and make it your own. My wife and I have been playing this game and we keep coming back so obviously I don't hate it too much! haha

Again, it is nowhere near the quality of the flat screen game but for what it is, it's a pretty enjoyable experience, controls aside!

House Flipper VR is the Virtual reality version of the original House Flipper game, a relaxing simulator where you are responsible for redecorating and cleaning houses.
From small jobs such as sweeping stains or watering plants to the complete renovation of walls or rooms.

Is a birthday cake required and did the father forget to put it on the table? No problem because you solve this!
Did that party lead to a very big mess? no problem because you solve it!
Did the birthday boy break his toilet because he ate too much chipotle? No problem, you will solve it!
There is nothing you cannot offer a solution for.

After completing the tasks that you accept, you will also be paid, you can also use this money to fully furnish your own place to your personal wishes, but first you have to renovate the house of course.

Besides the shop where you can buy all furniture and stuff, there is also a housing market.
As soon as you have saved enough money, you will have to buy more houses, and you can also furnish them. A bit like furnishing with the sims, only that this time you are really the sim and you have to do all the dirty tasks yourself.

Simulator games for virtual reality are usually interesting, although in real life we ​​are not eager to do some domestic tasks, I thought it was quite cool to do it in virtual reality.

I really enjoy this a bit more than the regular House Flipper. Looking forward to more content from the devs (as they said they will update it regularly).

A therapeutic style game. My daughter and wife literally love this title. You aren’t just cleaning, some customers will contract you to buy new furniture and things for their home. It’s true to its theme.

If you liked the original House Flipper you'll like this version of it. It's really cool to be "inside" the houses fixing them up instead of just clicking around in the original House Flipper. There are a few things missing from the original House Flipper that aren't in HFVR that I would like to see added back:

Wall demolition
Wall building
Lawn mowing/grass

My only complaints:
- Sometimes you grab the wrong thing out of your belt because they're close together

- Sometimes cleaning up something at your feet is difficult because the belt is in the way making it difficult to see. This could be fixed by having it move your belt back while holding the trigger or something? Kinda tricky because you don't want to make it more difficult to use the belt - which you arguably do more often than cleaning something at your feet.

- Throwing things is difficult because you have to squeeze the grip once to pick something up and it "sticks" to your hand until you squeeze the grip again at which point it drops it. There's no setting to "release" an object when you release the grip so you have to swing your arm and click at the apex of your swing - very counter-intuitive.

- Tapping a watch with the opposite hand sometimes acts weird or doesn't react at all. I've found that squeezing the grip on the clicking-hand for a split second and then trying to tap the watch with that hand works 9 out of 10 times. Very repeatable. I think being able to click the controller "menu" buttons on that controller should work like tapping the watch.

Things I like:
- The grid placement of furniture is really nice
- The watch menus themselves work really well
- I wish I had a paint roller - but the paint sprayer and other tools are satisfying to use

I haven't finished the game yet but I'd love to see some things like yards being added through DLC.

Perfect for when you don't actually want to clean the house, but you do want to feel productive. This is so far the VR game that i get totally lost in and walk into walls.

Having played this from launch to today (18/04/22) I can say that the game has definitely changed for the better. The controls have been redone so that it's a lot easier to play, the UI has been improved and the tutorial is much, much better.

When I first bought this game it was, I'll admit, a bit of a nightmare but thankfully the guys over at Frozen District have done it justice. I'm looking forward to the DLCs making it over.
