Something is spreading across Hagga Basin.

It begins as a rumor. Crazed attackers sighted in the deep desert. Sun-touched madmen who seem to spring from nowhere, only to disappear again into the darkness. Later, their bodies are found twisted and broken beneath the Arrakeen sun.

Now, the rumors are becoming harder to ignore.

From October 23 to November 2, take part in The Scourge, a limited-time event in Dune: Awakening and earn spooky special cosmetics, decorations, emotes and swatches!

A mysterious disease has begun spreading across Hagga Basin, leaving madness and death in its wake. Venture into the desert, confront the infected, and uncover the truth behind the strange affliction.

Where did it come from? And what is it doing to those unfortunate enough to become infected?

Find and face the source!

As the disease progresses through new stages, the event changes phases with new contracts and objectives.

Speak to Frida Maltros at a trade station to begin the investigation. Then search Hagga Basin for the afflicted and collect Infected blood from your encounters.

Bring your gruesome findings back to trade for special event rewards, available only during The Scourge.

The desert has always been unforgiving. For a short time, something even more sinister stalks the sands.

The Scourge begins October 23 and ends November 2.

Greetings, one and all!

Dune: Awakening has been live on consoles for about a month now, and we hope you’ve been having an absolute blast creating memories across Arrakis. We are thrilled to welcome over 1 million new survivors to the desert!

It’s been incredible watching your close calls with the sandworm, jaw dropping base builds, and reactions to the conclusion of Book 1. In this issue, we'll take a look at some of those community shares as well as a new Spice for Thought.

We have a massive patch to the PTC on Steam coming very soon! This will be patch 1.6.0.0 which includes the Polar Cap and everything new involving that. This includes new fabricators, augments, hazards, POIs, ice harvesting, and so much more. If you'd like to get involved with testing it, we recommend you get acquainted with the PTC. Check out the instructions here[funcom.helpshift.com] on how you can do that. Keep an eye out for our announcements when we push this out.

If you haven't yet joined our official Discord server, you're missing out! Not only do we have unique emotes and stickers, but you can also connect with other players, check out the latest news, share screenshots and fanart, and share thoughts and feedback. Find it here[discord.com]!

Form over function, pure utility, or a hybrid?

We want to see your go-to Arrakis drip. Whether you're dressing for maximum survival or peak fashion week on the sands, show us your favorite outfit!

Share your setup in the dedicated Reddit or Discord[discord.com] threads or drop a reply on the social post where you found this article. Make sure to detail the outfit pieces and any swatches used. Feel free to include a screenshot too!

We’ll be showcasing our favorite community fits in the next Communinet Signal!

MommaTyto on Discord has used Dune: Awakening for inspiration during Inktober! The prompt for Day 1 was "apple", Day 4 was "cactus", and Day 7 was "panic": " I instantly recalled the moment of sheer horror when a sandstorm caught me out in the wild for the very first time. It began exactly at the edge of Jabal Eifrit al-Sharq while I was not too far from map end, and on my last bits of HP I hugged some cliff. And I survived, but not before I looked death in the eye... :'D"

§CÅR on Discord created their rendition of a "Spice-infused swatch", which we admit looks pretty damn cool.

U/Onasixx on Reddit has created a little guide to help those who may need some extra help crossing the sands by sandbike. Though the easy way a hard survivor does not always make.

If you would like some inspiration on your next build, check out videos from Courser Studio! They have many videos featuring different styles of bases so you can find one that fits yours. Find their YouTube channel here!

King Brad on Discord created a massive recreation of the Titanic. It may not be on water, but there are still plenty of ways to sink on sand.

A stunning Bene Gesserit base dubbed the Blackspire Cathedral by u/VerifiedVoidGirl on Reddit.

The Black Flame (or lovingly called the Ice Cream Cone) by Le Frog on Discord. Check out many more pictures of the inside and out here[discord.com]!

u/Arthemis_Bright shared another beautiful building: "The apotheosis of brutalism - meet the Sardaukar Stronghold." Don't miss out on the other jawdropping pictures on Reddit here or the full YouTube tour here.

A gorgeous geometric base by u/perhapsIxion. Find a lot more pictures of the interior and exterior either here on Imgur[imgur.com] or Reddit.

Adomos on Discord has built the Space Battleship Yamato. Spacious on the inside without wasting any of that space, you'll find everything you could need including a canteen.

U/Technoninja101 has completed their amazing endgame base. It includes an assortment of interior designs, so make sure to check them all out on Reddit here!
