How does this compare to Stray?
i still think Stray was one of the best game releases in the past couple of years.
Can this game even hold a candle up to that when it comes to cat-based exploration games?

Well, you do more playful cat stuff; causal quests and puzzles. This a game anyone can pick up and not limited with hardware issues. More relax with story with cartoonist humor. Plus you don't have silly unrealistic robot stuff going on. There are humans to play tricks and interactive with than the other game. So maybe better for the masses.

I'm gonna say no. It's fun, but it doesn't have the realism of movement of Stray. It also has a bunch of dialogue between the cat and other animals. I personally wish there wasn't talking. It's unnecessary and isn't like funny or anything. I just want to be a cat.

The dialogue is pretty funny, though. Talking to other animals and solving little problems is part of the charm.

Think of Stray, if it was an anime with a hint of zelda breath of the wild. It's pretty good, but honestly its up to preference. I like this more than stray due to the non linear progression, but thats just my opinion.

As much as I enjoyed this game, I enjoyed Stray a lot more for the story and exploring felt more rewarding. This game is cute, fun if you enjoy collecting everything but I'd say It would appeal more to someone younger probably.

The two games have "cat" and "wandering and exploring" in common.

... They're otherwise radically different in play value, so. I mean. Why not both?

One for whimsy and silly light fun, the other for more emotional grit.

This is heavily inspired by Japanese games such as Katamari Damacy. That is, the graphics are supposed to be like this/this style, and you explore as well as try to get into as much trouble as possible and interact with things to see what they do. This is not a speed run or dodge a bunch of enemies type game. This is not Stray. The only thing they have in common is a cat.

It's Untitled Goose Game with a cat.

IMO, they're two different games so there's no need to compare them.

I think both are good, but this is a bit more cozy and stry a little bit on the dark side.

Completely different games. Stray is one of my favourite games but I just couldn't in good faith compare it to such a wildly different game. Stray is a story-driven, semi-serious exploration, Little Kitty is a silly collectathon sandbox.

This game at least has actual (albeit light) platforming. It's got a more playful charm and is a bit whimsical about it, not trying to take itself too seriously. It's cartoon animals compared to "realism" of Stray.

Stray is dark, cool world building, and I liked the story A LOT... But I was kind of bummed out how lacking the puzzles felt and every action (including jumping) was a "press X to interact" prompt. : /
