What should i take over after taking the US?

I started with Mexico and Canada, and eventually was able to take over the US, abandoned Mexico/Canada. I am at a point now where i a have some extra CP. Wondering where i should invest it. Are there any low CP countries that are worth picking up?

Kazakhstan is probably a good go to for early game for the boost, though not much value elsewise (should get them to leave the Eurasian Union so you keep all the boost). Canada is actually not bad for a low-mid CP country. Low inequality and fair research, good if you're going to incorporate them into a united north america as well. Can afford to spoil them a bit as well. UK is good/better if it hasn't been snagged. Cuba is good and stable, cheap country at about 10 CP for the whole thing. I've just been letting it sit on Funding. You can also pick up some random african/asian countries for spoils.

The typical meta (if boring) strategy is to form up the EU second to mass produce MC.

If you want something less boring you could start stapling Africa together with help from the US military. It's far from ideal but it's an option.
