I don't think Rockstar will remake or remaster RDR1 soon. If anything, maybe they'll reinvest into Red Dead Online before doing such thing. 😅

I thing Grand Theft Auto Online also had moments of slow game development and support, but I might be 100% wrong about that. Hopefully someone here knows...

it runs flawlessly in the latest versions of xenia. If your pc can play RDR2 it can emulate 1 just fine

I think with the horrible version of the GTO trilogy crap i doubt it. Rockstar only cares about making money atm. Used to be they even gave free games at one time online. Now all they care about is making money and ignoring griefers in the game that probably work for them personally.

Steam will be getting plenty of PS1, PS2, and PS3 games coming very soon. Who knows maybe RDR1 be one of them. Even if not a remaster would still be a nice game to have on here regardless.

Is there even a point in buying PS1 or PS2 games? These are really easy to emulate.

That is just simply not true. I just beat both and 1 ran like complete ass in Xenia canary, unless you want to play it in 360p with horrible texture bugs. While 2 on the other hand i can play just fine even at 4k

How games run via emulators can mostly depend on your CPU. Even years ago my 4790K could barely run Zelda: Breath of the Wild at a stable 30 fps. Emulators don't rely on your GPU much at all. They require very strong CPU and for some, a good deal of RAM also. OC'ed CPU + RAM can help too.
