just another thing thats been broken from the start, that RS can't be bothered to fix. Same with the eyelashes, horse eyes and glasses.

And since they hate the modding community, don't expect modders to be able to fix these issues.

The frainy shadows are caused by soft shadows, I found it helps to turn that to ultra, otherwise off, but then it looks worse

ok maybe hate was a strong word. More like, they don't exactly support modding, otherwise they'd make it easier for people to mod their singleplayer games. I don't think they even have an official editing tool for players to mod their games.

I just checked, and it was Take2 and not RS, that sent a cease and desist to OpenIV. RS was against it and actually tried to help resolve it.

RS is a good company they just need to get their heads out their asses

Yea, they make amazing games. Its just unfortunate that they are owned by Take2, a super greedy company, and it clearly shows in how they are monetizing GTAO and RDO.

However, in regards to all the bugs and lack of content in RDO, idk what to believe atm. If I give them the benefit of the doubt, then I have to believe they just don't care at all, otherwise I have to assume they are incompetent af.

the lack of content was in gtao for awhile so i believe itll kick off at some point, and maybe new events and things will just flood in as they did in gtao
gtao was just another gta4 online before all the stuff finally fell into place

It is shadows if that wasn't obvious already, SSAO blurs shadow edges in that grainy way unless I am mistaken.

You could try setting that higher or testing with the other SSAO options turned on/off.

Well, "can't be bothered to fix" is a bit harsh, in my opinion, as they have released both an update and a patch within the last few weeks.

Yep, this means a lot to me: "eyelashes, horse eyes and glasses"

Not.

Patching isn't as easy as people think, it's all code, insert something here, fix something there, but it moves stuff around and breaks something else in a different part of the code completely unrelated to the initial section, fix that and suddenly a blade of grass in a different section turns pink...

The fact they at least are releasing patches shows they are working on it, maybe not as vocal about it as they should be.

I don't expect SP issues to be resolved anytime soon as they seem to focus more on MP stuff.

Yep, done some programming myself in my profession, so I do know it's not easy updating/patching and explaining to the team leader why... the big WHY! LOL, then to fix the amount of code used in this game.

I'd say being vocal about issues would be somewhat embarrassing, especially because they've already made millions, and well beyond the required return on investment. They are attempting to address some issues, maybe not the important issues (cheaters), I do agree. And, withdrawing that update a few weeks ago, that didn't look good. They do know customers are screaming, even if they don't watching this forum.

I would not wish to be a programmer at RS right now... overtime, overtime, overtime. And, the programmers are on a wage, so no overtime pay!
