No Moose in sight, Storymode, HELP

so i'm trying to get my camp upgrades and i need moose antlers. I've searched all the pinpointed locations i could find on google. I've checked around Owanjila, Dakota River, Cairn Lake, Lake Isabella, Actually the entire snow region, O'Creagb's Run and Brandywine Drop.

Has it something to do with my progress? Because i am still only at 16% completion

Well I just hunted the legendary moose a couple days ago in story mode. You might get the antlers from the legendary moose. You might need to do the mission with Hosea to get the legendary animal map.

I have completed the mission with Hosea and it is a “normal” Moose antler

Legendary beasts drop a mix of normal and legendary stuff. I can't remember if the antler is normal but if you can't find any other mooses you might have to go for it. Bare in mind that saving your game and then reloading resets the animals in the area.

I shot a perfect moose on the Blackwater side bank of the river, but before I was able to skin it, I got killed by the law. Those guys spawned the momemt I made it half-way through the river. Expected, I was at least able to skin the animal undetected before bad things happen - I was wrong.

this guide helped me the other day and found me multiple moose (3 female, 1 male) in less than an hour. no other spots were anywhere near as reliable as this, it can just take a small amount of effort for the moose to move somewhere you're able to skin it.

I'd also recommend to get the Buck Antler Trinket if you haven't already, it increases the quality of skinned animals which helps with getting 3-star pelts.

Something overlooked in this game all the time is in game time of day. It doesnt just apply to the handful of nocturnal animals. Almost all animals have a peak time of day.

Moose is seen more often from 6AM to 1PM.

Online mode, I found moose north of strawberry, in the forest going towards the mountain, east from there in the big open field, and south of the grizzles going east towards annesburg.
