it takes some time to learn - one of the hardest in my 20+ years, but doable and worthwhile.
still good control.
But if you can adjust to a mouse and keyboard your long range shooting will be way better! XD
To many cheaters in the game to even enjoy it, like many other multiplayer games today and it sucks to be honest !
And it’s incredible! :D
The multiplayer can be a lot of fun too, but like M-A-X-E said, there’s so many cheaters online that it really ruins the experience. :(
The controls are absolutely confusing.
I drop my hat and gun. Pick up the gun with R, pick up the hat with Tab. Interact with E, unless it's R. Special command G, unless your in a different area then it's H. Q to get the scroll, but only when it tells you, the other times just scroll. Mouse steers the horse, except when it only moves the camera and doesnt steer the horse.
It's a ♥♥♥♥ show.
At this point it funnily feels like the game is just wait for it to give you a random button to press and then press it to get to the next cut scene.
I could try controller, maybe it will make more sense. Clearly the movement was made for controller though because you are nearly on rails most of the time.
Graphics and story seem cool, I hope the controls start making more sense.
But once you get used to them they generally become second nature, much like many a computer game.
thanks i'll stick to it
Props to people who had the patience to learn how to use mouse-and-keyboard!
Personally though, I just plugged-in a console controller and had a much easier time playing the game. XD
Also go to settings and make camera independent of horse movement or you will likely die in first horseback shootout.
I also had to google controls a lot as some are not explained and are not intuitive to figure it out. I also don't get why save and load is hidden in "story" submenu and you first need to load autosave to get to the game and after that you can load your manual save.
As for E and R, I've picked up so many corpses when looting, and eaten way to many Bulrush herbs, and the number of times I have climbed off of my horse instead of reloading my weapon during a gunfight.
The other thing that gets to me it is that sometimes you have to press and hold a key to start an action or something, and sometimes it's just press and release. Like, WTF?
What really gets me going is the weapon wheel and load out between char and horse; hunting small game on foot with the Varmint rifle, and a Cougar or two turns up, and my shotgun is on the horse, which chose to go wandering about...
