First, there's the changing contextual controls, that frustrate me even after well over 1000 hours of gameplay.
Is it "Hold E" to Pull, "Spam E" to pull, or "Hold E" and "Spam RMB" ?
The fact that "it depends" is simply insane, and shows crap design
And i just started Chpt 4 (on this playthorugh), and going through St. Denis is brutal with all the horrible controls...
... slowing down each time u pass another horse or wagon, pedestrians practically jumping in front of you, even while walking.
And the absolutely stupid and pathetic acceleration lag in everything ! -
omg - 200+ million to develop and the controls are crap
Online part of this game WORKS when you are in EMPTY session/lobby.
Game bloated with people in same lobby then EVEN MAIN MENU GUI lags and slows
down alot, I ran on a SATA 3 SSD takes 3 seconds to open up the map in online.
Even legendary animals spawns faster the moment when you emptied your session
by doing Windows 10 resource manager trick. I do this everytime to be alone and not
some retarded moron blows me up, and it works, some legendary animal spawned
right near of my character (not really but I DID hear her voice I think it was a deer)
Free Roam events also pops up quickly when player alone in session.
Try it dude, it is both awesome and pathetic in Rockstars end and needs to upgrade
their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ servers and peer to peer system.
Control Panel > Resource Monitor when you in online full session, Network tab,
right click RDR2.exe click SUSPEND PROCESS wait for about 5-6 secs without doing anything. Then Resume Process in same way and your golden.
You will notice main menu fires up in miliseconds even when your on a 7200RPM hard drive.
Too many players slows down the ENTIRE red dead online session.
You get used to lots of it, but it's almost like you have to experience it once, and fumble through it first, before you know how to play effectively.
For the contextual-type situations you are in, you have to watch the lower right side of ur screen - it will tell you which key to press - and then u need to figure out if it's press+hold or spam-click, or press+hold and spam+click some other key.
Just watch the screen for which key to use, and don't blame ur computer - it's all Rockstar incompetence.
It's done on purpose to make movement feel more natural and make it so actions have weight. It's not supposed to be snappy and floaty. It's the exact same reason Elden Ring and From Softwares previous games work the way they do.
IT'S. BY. DESIGN.
Go play GTA3 and it's spin-offs. It has none of that. What, you think they forgot how to make a game like that? LOL.
You not liking a game design decision doesn't mean it's automatically bad. It just means that you don't like it. They changed it a bit for Online cause of PvP, obviously.
It is actually very good if you're the type of player who actually enjoys immersion.
This isn't Skyrim or an MMO, it's definetly not trying to be, and it's never gonna be.
If it's not for you, it's not for you, and it certainly shouldn't change and become less immersive just because an extremely vocal minority keeps whining about it.
I already said why. Because of PvP. If you can't understand why, that's your problem,
