It's one of the first big games targeted for the new generation of hardware. It's pretty average considering. The first group of games will all be reduced in order to allow for a cross gen version. The really visually impressive games will come out in 6 months to a year when the previous generation market dries up and they're not constrained by those technical limitations anymore. And no, Rockstar or any other big company won't have any trouble keeping up.

RDR2 supports the Nvidia Ansel to take better quality screenshots.
I used it in RDR2 Storuy Mode.
But you need a supported GPU and the latest drivers.

RDR2's graphics are piece of art, haven't played Valhalla myself , but you dont compare a Van Gogh and a Monet painting based by the quality of paint used either do you? Or Are you some kind of pixel counter extraordinaire ? :p And i do feel the foliage in Valhalla looks pretty generic and the world looks a bit flat and layered where the rdr2 world is more convincing and the lighting more natural in my opinion . Ah another Ubisoft release. It looks pretty to lure the kids in and them rewards with gameplay that has the depth of a cardboard box. Rinse and repeat.
