I just tied myself up.
So, if you melee someone with the lasso, and they are in a tight space, you hogtie yourself. Now THIS is what i call immersion.

That's funny! I'm going to have to try that.
Would be great if the npc you were trying to hogtie started kicking you.

Well did not happen to me but in a mission, there was a camp i was supposed to attack. One of the npc had a lasso and tackled me down from behing and i ended tied like a damsel in distress. All gathered around me while i was trying to evade the ropes and kicked me to death. That was awesome.

the lasso is so underrated as a tool. I use it all time, it has so many practical applications. For example, you can loot someone's camp (not a bandit camp, a civilian camp) without losing honour - just lasso them. I usually drag them into their campfire so it saves time (dont have to hogtie, just burn them to a crisp instead). Funnily enough, if you immolate someone like this, you dont lose honour.

It's more annoying than immersive. Sometimes it happens outside.

Is there a way to fix this thing. Its rly annoying to get tied when i tackle the enemy to try and tie them. It happens to me all the time -.-

I was changing weapons once & a npc attacked me , I got glitched and had 3 guns on my hand
It could be a great feature if you could pull it off in pvp xD

Its a glitch that happens if you click the cancel button during the animation of hogtie. the moment you are doing that animation do not touch a single button.

One of those crap mods you have installed (if the shoe fits) introduces that happy little thing, that can happen to anyone, but is EXTREMELY RARE.

If it happens almost every time you pull out your rope - you might want to read the 'Comments' and 'Bug Lists' of whatever piece of crap Mod you thought you couldn't do without.

Return your game to Vanilla.
Be more selective when choosing what Mods to install.

"Re-Installing" the game, doesn't REMOVE extra files and folders.
Manually deleting them is the only way.

The murfree brood recently got me to chase them into the woods, where I fell into the pitfall they'd set. For sure they caught me lackin. Then when they all stood above me at the edge of the pit, in a bit of a panic, I mistakenly selected the lasso instead of a weapon to shoot them. I did somehow managed to drag one into the pit with me and hogtie him, while his buddies were shooting me in the back, eventually killing me. Love this game!

I usually jump right in - then start blastin...lol

Guess where their (Headless) bodies go?
Take your time - I'll wait.

I do try to stay out of Murfree Country until I have Express Explosive Slugs.... then it's ON.

:D

Note:
Thyme Big Game - Gold Dead Eye Core all day.
Minty Big Game - Gold Health Core all day.
Special Snake Oil (2 Indian Tobacco, 2 Currant or Prairie Poppy - Gold Circle Tank Greatly Fortified
Special Health Cure (2 Ginseng, 2 Yarrow, 2 English Mace or Milkweed) - Gold Health Tank Greatly Fortified.

Doing all the challenges and buying all the equipment tops off those circle tanks and when everything goes Gold... it's pretty much game over for anything that can hurt you:

When all that goes Gold - it's a Caution Light for the bad guys...lol

I usually engage them with a shotgun loaded with slugs and do deadeye headshots. I'm particularly aggressive and violent toward Murfree, the night folk, and Skinners. But looking back it was funny. Instead of charging me like they normally did, they ran into the woods, and managed to stay out of range of the shotgun. So here's me, rather than switching to the lancaster or bolt action, I REALLY WANTED those shotgun slug headshot kills. So I go sprinting in to close distance. :)

I jumped in that pit once and kept wondering who was shooting me.... well, turns out there was a snake in there with me...

OK - let's focus for a bit on the snake, then we can back to work on The Murfrees....
(none of them did much damage to that Gold Circle Tank, but the snake was really annoying)

:D

Find and remap, if necessary, your Item Wheel for instant access to your Health/Dead Eye Resources.

I'd call it masochism myself.

I once asked a masochist mate in a loveless marriage if she knew what a sadist was.

Her reply - "Beats Me".
