FFIV releases Sept 8, so we're excited about that.
I have no idea whether or not 100% status effects are intended or not in FF2.. but it's definitely broken both against and in your favor (sleep sword says hi)
1 had GBA Chaos buff without the extra GBA dungeons.
3 gave Cloud of Darkness way more HP than the Famicom version.
4 Zeromus had far more frequent turns, which can make Very Fast / Active combination quite rough.
I hope Kefka is harder!
Except the fact I only leveled four characters to 21..... everyone else was at level 10 which made the Terra WoR battle very hard and Kefka's tower a slow process as my main group I would have to keep warping out and redoing different sections with bosses with my main group.
FF6 is ALL about the story, not being locked on a random battle because some teenager wanna brag at school about some stupid cheese needed to pass a boss. (and 99% of the time, if the boss could only be defeated by a singular attack/skill, why he isnt the supreme evil boss since other bosses of the game doesnt have the skill to defeat him? Just the player have.)
If they make a boss with 300k HP just remove the HP and damage cap from the player too.
You can quite casually beat the game at the low 30s, a party level of 24 average is also kinda standard... and that's not even getting into genuine low-level runs
By the way, if you do the second from final battle in that gauntlet wrong it gets EXTREMELY dangerous. I forgot exactly what it does but it starts spamming a nasty spell if you do it the wrong way.
Ah, I looked it up. It's if you get Rest low on HP he becomes an absolute monster (quote below):
When his HP falls below 10,240, he will begin using Meteor every turn, and counters attacks with either Meteor or Trine, an attack the player likely hasn't seen before that inflicts Silence and Darkness on the party. When Rest dies he uses Repose either once or twice, which inflicts Instant Death and ignores immunity.
Dude. I want this to be the full fight plz. Seriously this would be perfect lol
Regardless of whether or not the final battle is anticlimactic, the fact remains that Kefka's actions have permanently changed the world. Not only does his death result in the subsequent death of all magic, including magical beings such as the Espers, but his godly rampage altered the geography of the planet.
