I see this kind of logic a lot. But this isn’t about telling people how to have fun—it’s about recognizing patterns in a company’s behavior that affect the broader player base. Funcom has a long history of half-baked launches followed by abandonment or slow development. That should absolutely be part of the conversation.
Nobody’s saying the game shouldn’t exist or that the people still playing it aren’t allowed to enjoy it. But having 15,000 players—comparable to Skyrim, a single-player game from 2011—doesn’t suddenly make Conan Exiles a thriving or evolving live service title. It just means a niche community is holding onto it with what little has been honestly worked on.
Yes, updates like sorcery or companions were solid additions, but the lack of meaningful expansions like new maps or additional worldbuilding shows that Funcom has mostly coasted rather than innovated. Not to mention Isle of Siptah has completely stagnated with pretty much no attention given to it.
Criticism like this isn’t about taking fun away—it’s about holding developers accountable so future titles don’t fall into the same trap of content droughts.
I can't argue with that, and Funcom has its issues. Nevertheless I had fun playing 2 of their games, even if they were pretty much questionable at the release, but eventually they got shaped into something that gave me a lot of fun.
It's always a pleasure seeing someone taking care of my money instead of my banker.
For those who ignore it : "Funcom is the new Lisan-al gaib"
Stilgar words after learning Paul atreides is not born in this universe.

I would have used flamed, but even this old dog can learn a new trick.
People like Conan Exiles. Maybe you didn't, but your opinion doesn't invalidate theirs. Certainly not when your entire argument is in the title alone. So well articulated. Such content. Such value. Much WOW. /s
Since you seem pretty single-minded this might surprise you but people totally can - *gasp!* - play multiple games and switch between games they play. Just because someone plays Dune: Awakening that doesn't mean he can't also play Conan Exiles. Or Stardew Valley. Or whatever.
Through i will probably will play more Dune since friends who had no interest in Conan will get Conan and so will be able to play with them for once.
I'm currently waiting for the full release of some games and playtests to start for others that I signed up for and hope to get into. And I certainly won't give up playing my other favorite games. They just might have to take a backseat for a while.
