Caustic, Mirage, (Octane)... Bliske, Forge... Revenant. Oh, and Fuse. You could be wrong about Bloodhound as well. They're 'undefined' and very few players would call you out for identifying BH with a 'he/him'. Nobody cares, aside from now. I mean, are you really crying over a lack of a 'Chad' legend? (who would be Revenant, if you knew Apex.
I'll concede that the diversity of this games cast would be grating to a lot of basement-dwelling snowflakes. That doesn't make your premise accurate though, was just opinions and you could learn to express them as such if you don't like getting responses like these. Besides, as a CIS white male myself, I feel plenty represented in Apex / I personally couldn't give a <3 what the ratio of melanin in the next Legend's skin happens to be.
Thankfully, the Apex - Respawn team don't appear to be impacted by views like those you shared. They've level-up'd outta the basement and draw reference from the real world. View some of the Stories trailers or watch devs be interviewed on character design. It might give you a glimpse into how they've created this insanely profitable IP out of, as you'd say, "the dark souls of bad character design."
The legends could be literally ponies, potatoes with arms, or toy soldiers, it's the gameplay what makes apex good, and it's character design only brings it down. Hence, the dark souls of bad character designs. And lets not play dumb here, you're conceding way too little when listing all of those characters as if you didnt know what i actually meant.
Like in gears 5, there is a whole pride flags tab, and im like... sure, pride flags have a place in gaming, but why do they have their own dedicated tab? do they play in different lobbies, do they have different skill sets, or their flags are only available in certain game modes? No it's just posturing. And im not gonna ask for christian flags (not a christian to begin with), but where is the line drawn when it comes to inclusivity, because at the same time, it seems to be excluding a lot of people.
See what im pointing out is how creatively inept these devs and publishers are when their first consideration is to pander in some fashion to sign their virtue, instead of purely creative and uncompromising character designs... and im here like "your gameplay is good, this game would be 10 times bigger if the aethetics and voicelines weren't absolute cringe.
Then again, if you don't agree, then that's your opinion, just like mine, no? Or i can't express mine? I´m fine with you bringing counter arguments. But what's obvious, it is obvious.
