Apex Legends - most hated game?

This game must be the most hated game I know, also the companies behind it; Respawn and EA.
All I hear is hate and dissatisfied players talking about the game and the companies.
It's really extraordinary and quite mind boggling at first, but understandable when reading into it, but the hate is on full flow almost constantly.

Not even within gaming, I've never heard so much hate about a product or company in other industries either. That's top news worthy when it comes ti the subject.

I don't believe that because I see streamers also complain, and that means the majority of their community probably agree and I don't see this hate about other games on steam so where there's smoke there is fire.
Also I think the devs with how they condition players to be toxic in the first place with the voice lines in Apex Legends which are quite obnoxious and toxic, so they condition their community to be toxic.

Every game has some issues. Unbalanced units, timing of skill or items, small player base, not good enough servers the list is quite long. Streamers play the game to pay their bills and probably are good at it, therefore they will notice even small things that casual player are not concerned with at all. Subjectively, I would say players often times fail to perform according to their own vision of themselves and blame it on game issues. Having said that, Apex has issues that are not addressed for sure.
I disagree with Toxic part. If I would like to see unicorns and rainbows I would not play FPS game. I see some (well many) characters voice lines as taunting to other players, yet in a good way. Game does not make players toxic, they are just frustrated from anythings life has served them and they are venting it in the game. If that is too much for me, mute, report, forget.

The voice lines are taunting in a negative way. A player that has issues privately with being mocked would probably have a hard time in Apex with these voice lines, so the slogan of EA and Respawn that the game is "for everybody" doesn't embrace mocking which is a huge issue for many, instead the toxic voice lines build up on mocking and "allow" it. I'm therefore not surprised the game has a very toxic playerbase. That's my experience at least.

because the game has huge potential and the it doesnt even need to make huge changes thats why I dont like it, I only play it for dopamine but got kicked mid match for "anti cheat" when I dont cheat lol

simple changes to make it better:
better climbing, would make the game alot better
fix anti cheat bs
bring back arenas so I dont have to play br they only got rid of it because a bunch of people that didnt play arenas complained about arenas, not like any of the other gamemodes are any good
fix picking things up
actually let the mute button work, it mutes voices but people are still toxic in chat. mute button should mean mute both

prolly alot more but overall its so hard for me to understand why its like this. maybe I underrated game development but literally hire people to play the game and have a department that fixes bugs like this

im still confused on why they removed arenas, good for warmups but also its more skilled based, br depends on where you drop but if they did stat based match making in arenas thats basically a game of its own

if you really think that you should understand there's more that dont make threads or make threads somewhere else or dont use the english steam groups, its a 2/10 game at best

As you say players with private issues might not handle it well. Let me tell you people with private issues may not handle mundane day to day situations well. The solution for them is to seek professional help and learn how to deal with life. Hoping or even worse demanding the world around them will change is incorrect approach indeed.

well it's due to the constant cheaters and EA/ Respawn not doing a damn thing about it. but don't worry they have money grabbing cosmetics and recolors in the form of "events" which folks eat up.

i really dont agree with that assessment. on the one hand i dont believe its hated that much, especially in comparison to LoL or some of the other titles mentioned in this thread. apex is a competitive game with a lot of randomness so there are inherently going to be frustrating experiences when playing. that can lead to people "hating" on the game, especially with more passionate players like streamers, and you see that in more or less every competitive game out there. the root of that toxicity lies in a love of the game at its core though. if people really didnt like apex they would stop playing but were not really seeing that. also a lot of the issues people are mad about become most pronounced in the higher ranks (i see no cheaters in silver and a new player isnt going to realize that they got no-audioed) - and thats a tiny fraction of the playerbase. but they are also the people who are most invested and most vocal about the game so it seems like a larger issue for "normies" like us.

you do know the only reason arenas doesnt exist is because it was very unpopular? then they had to accomodate things to fixing that, over fixing other parts of the game...now can arenas return as a custom lobby/remix mode? yes but as a full fledged mode that basically took half the rewards you wouldve gotten from competitive mode? no...also the game still have way more issues on its plate even if the devs listen to your ideas on how to fix the game...did u know there was a controller bug on the pc version of the game for 4 years before they fixed it? the devs are also lazy.
