High Cpu Usage - game stutters - small freezes

Hey - I have the last few days high cpu usage goes up to 100% - I noticed on task manager that Apex is using around 60% and then together with the "Apex process" is always "System process" that goes up to 25%-30%. When I close Apex, system process also disappears. I read in other chats that it's the EZ anticheat that does this. Does anyone gets this the last few days? Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

anti cheats can cause some performance issues in most games but i would doubt that is your issue.
could you provide a bit more details? what is your cpu and ram (speed and amount)?
having a lot of tabs in browser could also affect this.

if this is new, there might also be a new mobo or cpu drivers that could affect this, having new motherboard drivers can cause a bunch of issues with pc performance

my pc is pretty old, but I was playing alright a few days ago.. i56600K - 16GB ram.. I know it's old, but as I said this appeared recently. The new thing is the "system process" that's running 25-30%.. Apex itself is 50-60% or so.. But you might be right, this is a drivers issue possibly.. I haven't done any updates on motherboard or cpu drivers lately

nope. I tried many things.. same ♥♥♥♥.. it's the ntoskrnl.exe I tried to update all drivers, especially the nvidia which seems to be the most common problem with this process online, but still nothing.. tried much more things also but still the same.. You have the same issue?

ntoskrnl.exe is often related to the cpu.. try to update ur bios

Thanks for the reply. So there is an issue with the cpu and what does it have to do with the bios? I have done so many tweaks it's crazy.. I'm scared to do the bios update.. everything else works fine, it's just when I load apex

A Respawn dev replied to a reddit thread like 1-2 weeks ago acknowledging the problem and says the team is investigating.
The game has bad optimization on CPU cores, apparently its common on 4 & 6 core cpus but not necessarily limited to them.
There was two recommended fixes, to limit cpu power to 95%, or to set affinity in task manager to 2 of 4 cores or something similar... personally im just waiting for them to patch it.

Yeah, tried the affinity trick, didn't work.. I think the bios update might work after further checking the event viewer there are some issues appearing that might be bios related.. if I do it and it works I'll post it here.

Yeah - didn't work.. damn it.. I had hopes.. at least I have an updated bios now lol Did you try switching to older / newer nvidia drivers? wth is this issue? For me it started 3-4 weeks ago or so
