The funny thing is, how many dudes shouting out loud about the cheater problem in the game, and at the same time a lot of dudes facing problems with the game launch because of EAC/badware detection etc. etc.
Install DriverStoreExplorer to see all drivers.
Sort by manufacturer and delete all Disc Soft drivers.
I forced remove rwsddrvmap.inf and rwsddrvflt.inf
HF on Apex
I did forget about the game for like 4 months and just played Single Player games, but when the season started, I wanted to try playing again but the cooldown changes to Path made sure that I only play 1-2 matches every other day or so, but after the changes to Tacticals during this update, I wanted to try it but can't because of this BS.
Alright, I'll try and see if that helps.
But I use Daemon Tools every now and then to mount ISOs, so this can't be a permanent solution, Respawn needs to get it together and fix the damn issues.
I've uninstalled everything that reportedly could cause the error that I found:
Are you serious?! I have to uninstall other games?!
Maybe the minimum requirements should say "dedicated APEX PC on a clean Windows installation without any other games or programs, because we are not able to program working anticheat software"
Simply ridiculous
It IS ridiculous, thankfully it started working after I uninstalled Daemon Tools.
But did you try the steps mentioned by Raiman?
Completely remove all traces of DiscSoft from your PC using DriverStoreExplorer, I saw many people saying that it worked when they tried this.
I saw this mentioned in a reddit post but was hesitant to try it because they are terrible at explaining things over there. I don't know exactly what I had, but sorting by Distributers I found 1 driver under DiscSoft and perma deleted the driver; As well as left over drivers for Voicemod. Apex Legends will now boot, and Im gonna try Black Ops 6 as well since I had the same sort of crash for that game too (their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Anti-Cheat scanning my system for programs they disagree with). I appreciate the help
