Why is Direct X 12 worse than Direct X 11?
DX12 is causing crazy fps loss, fps drop, screen tearing, ghosting issues etc; etc; Now they just threw in the pop-up saying that DX11 support will be discontinued soon. Why? DX11 is so much better. I'm running a 4080 and a Ryzen 7 7700x and for well over a year, ive been getting 144fps in the lobby and 300fps in game (on DX11) no tearing or ghosting issues and if it ever drops from 300fps it never dips below 260fps.

Now with DX12 the "new and improved" version, i get 60fps in the lobby and 150-151fps in game like im playing on console. Thats literally half my frames gone, going from 300 to 150 is a big difference. Not saying that 150 is bad but its a noticeable and large downgrade. When im playing ill have horizontal screen tearing and sometimes ill drop frames from 150 to 70 and back to 150 and it makes it unplayable.

My in game settings for DX11 and DX12 are the same, ive tried messing with everything i can mess with but cant get DX12 to go over 150fps. i know this has been a common issue for around a year now and the solution is "just switch back to DX11" which we wont be able to do soon. is there anything i can do about it? Will DX12 get "upgraded" once they fully stop DX11 support?

What kind of GPU do you have? Everything is noticeable better when switching from DX11 - 12 on my computer, in more or less all games.

NVM saw now you mentioned you'r specs, something is absolutely wrong tho, I dont know what, maybe some settings in nvidia control panel will make a difference, I do have a friend who lose fps with DX12 tho but only one so far.

Yeah, i really dont know why its running like this with the hardware im using. i remember when i first got the PC about 2 years ago, there was something i did that unlocked my frames from 144 to 300 but i dont remember what it was. i assume now with dx12 theres something similar that i have to change, just dont know what that is.

AMD GPUs have been pretty bad at DX11 so when using them and switching to DX12 you may get improved performance. For NVIDIA GPUs not so much since they are inherently better at DX11. DX12 is often badly-implemented as well it seems, with for example extra stuttering in games.

why do you need more than 60 fps.. human eye cannot see much difference

In my experience, games like Call of Duty that were built from the ground up with DX12 code have no issues, but games like Rainbow Six that were switched to DX12 mid-live service seem to have similar issues to what you're experiencing. Perhaps the problem isn't DX12 itself, but rather that DX12 hasn't fully settled in Apex.
no r6 had issues with dx12 and then got rid of dx11 and vulkan now dx12 runs super smooth
