Why is Direct X 12 worse than Direct X 11?
DX12 is causing crazy fps loss, fps drop, screen tearing, ghosting issues etc; etc; Now they just threw in the pop-up saying that DX11 support will be discontinued soon. Why? DX11 is so much better. I'm running a 4080 and a Ryzen 7 7700x and for well over a year, ive been getting 144fps in the lobby and 300fps in game (on DX11) no tearing or ghosting issues and if it ever drops from 300fps it never dips below 260fps.

Now with DX12 the "new and improved" version, i get 60fps in the lobby and 150-151fps in game like im playing on console. Thats literally half my frames gone, going from 300 to 150 is a big difference. Not saying that 150 is bad but its a noticeable and large downgrade. When im playing ill have horizontal screen tearing and sometimes ill drop frames from 150 to 70 and back to 150 and it makes it unplayable.

My in game settings for DX11 and DX12 are the same, ive tried messing with everything i can mess with but cant get DX12 to go over 150fps. i know this has been a common issue for around a year now and the solution is "just switch back to DX11" which we wont be able to do soon. is there anything i can do about it? Will DX12 get "upgraded" once they fully stop DX11 support?

why do you need more than 60 fps.. human eye cannot see much difference

you actually can see the difference. once you have 120+ fps and you go back to 60 fps you can easily tell.
isnt 144fps the normal max in apex unless you edit the ini?

Also what resolutiona re you on? So many people post about performance and their specs without mentioning resolution

you can definitely tell the difference between 60 and 180fps. and it unlocks the fps above 144 if you run vysnc, if u have g-sync + adaptive sync monitor you get no input lag

0/10 pls no try again
In my experience, games like Call of Duty that were built from the ground up with DX12 code have no issues, but games like Rainbow Six that were switched to DX12 mid-live service seem to have similar issues to what you're experiencing. Perhaps the problem isn't DX12 itself, but rather that DX12 hasn't fully settled in Apex.

That depends on your monitor. I play with DX12 mode, 1440p 240Hz monitor, and with no edit. If I choose v-sync disable, cap is 240. But if I choose adaptive, my cap is 252.

Every extra frame improves smoothness as it reduces latency, even if you're still rocking a 60 Hz monitor. More frames are always better. That being said it is recommended to have a fixed and highly consistent framerate which is ideally a multiple of your preferred/max refresh rate(like 120 FPS at 60 Hz or 60 FPS at 240 Hz). People can quite easily notice increased smoothness from reduced delays in between and extra smoothness from higher Hz monitors provided your FPS can reach high enough.

What kind of GPU do you have? Everything is noticeable better when switching from DX11 - 12 on my computer, in more or less all games.

NVM saw now you mentioned you'r specs, something is absolutely wrong tho, I dont know what, maybe some settings in nvidia control panel will make a difference, I do have a friend who lose fps with DX12 tho but only one so far.
