Report a translation problem
1 - the game is buggy like destiny 2 and they wont fix it
2 - its a hacker using an anti aim hack causing your melee to drift to the side like a shot would.
Not sure if the range and hit reg changes per character. I mostly main Wattson and I learned I had to push it slightly at an angle for my hits to connect.
Just hit the firing range and practice up a bit until you build that perfect angle muscle memory. You'll be connecting your melee attacks more often than not, afterwards. :)
Two things:
1. Correct distance - your punch has long reach and you need to initiate early.
2. There's a Rock-Paper-Scissors logic between normal punch, uppercut and kick-punch, so if the other player does the right 'counter', you get damaged and they don't.
