Texture Streaming Budget : FPS drops and stuttering

Hi.

Setting "Texture Streaming Budget". If I put more than "none", I have FPS drops and stuttering, which makes aiming practically impossible. I have 8 GB of VRAM on my graphics card. The game is very ugly but playable.

First, do some important troubleshot steps please.

Deactivate Windows game bar.

Windows button + i /gaming and deactivate game bar, recording and stuff.

Open your search bar of Windows and write, cmd and open it pls with rights of admin. Now writen sfc /scannow.

It's the repair tool of Windows for corrupt data.

Did you reinstall the game clean already?

How about drivers?

-Xbox game bar is already disabled
-scannow done : i had corrupted files but it changes nothing.
-Game reinstalled and repaired.
-Driver : latest 512.15

You can use Snappy Driver Origin for all other drivers.

It's a free and decent tool unlike all those other payed driver crap programms.
It can look for older and better driver or new ones.

I did read Apex seems to have certain problems currently about Direct x so it might be something you can't fix.

It also could be a problem related to Windows and broken settings of it.

Reinstalling Windows probably can fix it but it's a huge step so it's up to you.
I do it pretty fast because I have a special gaming Windows with nothing much on it.

I'll find it later but am dubious about posting actual links in here. They say on it that the latest graphics drivers are causing the issues and to roll back your graphics drivers. That's respawns solution if I remember correctly

Just type "Apex Legends: How to fix DXGI error ‘device hung’" (or paste) into Google without the inverted commas. the site is dotesports though although for some reason it's in my search history as progamesguides

Much better thanks but that is just about the error message they didn't name fps issues there, if I'm not wrong.

No but it's related to issues regarding the texture streaming budget. The FPS issues are related to the servers and I don't think there's much you can do about that. It's when season 12 started ( was that 10 weeks ago?) when I first had the issues and had to look into it so I can't say I particularly remember everything I did. There's hundreds of comments on here regarding FPS drop and packet loss. There was even an article on my Google News feed saying players are fed up with it. I mentioned the direct x issue as I thought it'd make some difference (however little) towards your ability to play the game. The game is only loosely playable at the moment for me and so I've done whatever I can to optimise it. I live in an area where internet is bad but the issues have gone from the game being ok to play (prior to season 12) to really bad (season 12 onwards). However, on the same internet connection, the game plays well on Xbox so ... go figure!

I have tried something else. It seems when the game is capped a 144 fps, my bullets don't register well. I have used the command +fps_max 190. It's way better, my bullets are registering a lot more and the game is more fluid. I have tried adaptive v synch too, it uncapped the framerate but it seems it adds input lag.

I have a 144 hz monitor. In fights, i don't always have 144 fps. When the fps are locked to 144 fps, the input lag is really bad, my mouse isn't reactive, the hitreg is bad. When i lock the framerate to 190 or more, the input lag is good, my mouse is reactive and the hitreg is good too. Has someone a explanation ?

V-Sync or G-Sync, basically it caps your FPS to your monitor's refresh rate.
I would assume you have V-Sync on if you are experiencing so much input latency, as G-Sync does a better job in that regard.

No, v synch is disabled. 144 fps lock (default) = not reactive, 190 fps cap = reactive.
