After next patch you can use lobby as room heater again with launch variable:
Added a CVar lobby_max_fps: can be used to change the FPS cap in the lobby and menus. This still defaults to 60 to reduce CPU and GPU usage, but can be increased for players who prefer smoother frame rates. Setting +lobby_max_fps 0 will remove the lobby cap, and the lobby will have the same FPS cap as the rest of the game.
NOTICE: this will not work before the patch is released.
NOTICE2: The menu/lobby cap has been a thing for a long time. It is nothing new in this patch. This update makes it possible to disable the menu/lobby FPS cap.
Like, if your CPU can be burned by that, it might be worth checking the cooling system. Synthetic testings loads your system much more than lobby in Apex lol.
