High CPU usage by system.exe when playing Apex legends

I notice that the system.exe specifically (ntoskrnl.exe) is using >20% of my CPU only while playing apex, this appeared to start after the quads update and its giving me low fps and frame drops making the game unplayable. I think the devs need to fix this.

yup my fps dropping into 60s. before update it was always above 90s. and 60fps feel like 10fps tbh

i was doing some research, and found it has something to do with easy anti cheat, I think it accesses the ntoskrnl.exe to do who knows what and it is causing cpu spikes up to 29% when some other applications on your system interferes with it or it suspects something of it even if there is none, could also be even linked to new drivers. I think the ea devs need to aware of this. Because it making the game laggy and unplayable. and before quads the game was perfect on my older system

uninstal not safe softwares like REWASD or emulators ,,, 90% you have bad software , anticheat check it

how ever new map is huge and drop frame is normal ,,if your FPS is under 60,, try 720p , apex 720 is good

this is fine, it's longstanding issues since 2021. and there is nothing you can do about it as far as i know.

How much ram do you have? you can offset CPU usage by having an adequate amount or faster ram to some extent.

Do u find some solution? Bcs I have similar issue but in fortnite and its 100% easyanticheat bcs system use 30% too... ntoskm.exe or whatever same too

Blood is at wit's end if he's resorting to scouring the apex discussions for help. He will have to learn the hard way that this is the worst place to look for a solution bar none. Best EA/Respawn will do is recommend a brand new $4k Alienware laptop

yes, i found reinstalling windows fixed it somewhat, i got relatively stable fps after, i installed windows 21h1 and debloated it, disabled updates and defender etc. and as the others said i guess respawn want people to upgrade, you can also try lossless scaling for frame gen too
