Apex is risky right now [Personal reports plus community posts to warn you.]

First, a story that happened just now while I was interacting with you all.
My Steam started to lag, I checked Opera to see if my internet was on, it wouldn't even load the tab, but didn't say my internet was off, I checked Apex.
Black screen with old windows top on it, plus it was frozen solid, then I tab back to Opera GX to open Task manager, doesn't open, I opened it with Ctrl+Alt+Del
Stopped Apex, Apex Legends Beats Task manager, I restart my PC, it gets stuck on my booting up screen, unplug and replug it, finally works again.

Other peoples experience
Extreme crashes, haven't seen one like mine yet, reports of freezing and extreme lag.
Hackers seem to be everywhere on both console and PC.
Console is having lag too.
People on both are doing 180's and hitting every shot with decently snappy aim.
Plus the recent hacker drama.
I think something may have happened to Apex, this is my first time opening it on PC since 2 weeks ago.
Buying stuff not working and money being entirely stolen, or just not being able to buy stuff.

So I warn you, if you wanna open Apex, accept the risk then, if not, stay safe either way.

It's an algo video game match making service much like dota 2 and the rest of them, no one cares if you swear and curse. Cheating is saying you can't make money in America. It's a rip off game, everyone knows about it, it's old news. The pros, the streamers are too dumb to unknowingly rip people off, much like value valve and its little gangs of mischief making losers.

Damn, I crashed twice by quite literally doing almost nothing in Apex.
And it crashed my entire PC both times.
It sucks how this game is going really.

A lot of what you posted are not remotely confirmed to be related to the ALGS incident. Lag can be your PC, there were always cheaters in the game, people always come to this forum complaining about crashes, and phishing attacks are nothing new.

You can’t blame with certainty when you don’t know: the scope of the ALGS incident hack, what changes they made to the game that causes crashes on PCs, what software people use to cheat, and whether people simply fell for phishing scams.

I'm saying Apex is screwed right now, everyone seems to be crashing, even on PS5 I'm lagging and crashing, and I don't have any lag or crashing or internet issues outside of Apex on either.

So basically Apex is quite screwed right now by likely the devs themself and the sheer amount the hacking.

The only thing that seems to be from the ALGS thing is the flooding of hackers in realizing this game is hella vulnerable right now, they all came in to have their fun.

The reason I mentioned Destroyer is because I was talking about this game having a hackerfest recently, not blaming, that's why his part was so short.

It's genuinely this game, I even have played with friends and we all get packet loss of 100 all at once and die right away from specifically our team getting lagged out.

Then you haven’t been around these forums where people complain about crashing and terrible servers 24/7. ALGS incident aside, nothing new here, and nothing quantifiable to say it’s more risky now than before.

this literally just happened to me, now im updating my drivers, didnt have this issue at all last 2 season. Also have crashing issues on The Finals but at least i knew that was the anti cheat kept closing my game, apex just freeze up and crash to desktop, no warnings or error. when i try to log back in i get the "EA error: Cloud" and pentaly, rank kept dropping also.
