1-no,control controller on AIM is very hard need 1 year practice , for aim you have 0.5cm joystick
2-good players like Verhulst use high sens and it disable aim assist ,,,aim assist is for new player
I'm going to break down your 2 points and add my personal experience.
1- Controller aim is much harder to control compared to M&K. It does take time to learn controller recoils and such. However you failed to take into account that a lot of Apex players didn't start with Apex. They've played controller games for years. They know how to control recoils and they take that knowledge and move it to Apex. The fact that most players didn't start with Apex invalidates your point because they don't need that strong of an AA. I support Aim Assist, I think it should be in the game because it is harder to hit shots on controller but the Apex aim assist is giving unfair advantages.
2- Full respect give to Apex controller players that don't use AA. It's difficult to learn how to do that and it takes time and effort. However, saying that all good players don't use AA is just a blatant lie. Just because Verhulst doesn't use it doesn't mean other people won't use it. So your point doesn't really make any sense to me. I GUARANTEE you that the majority of players on controller don't turn off AA.
I will also like to add that I just started playing on controller today (that's the reason I found this discussion) and I'd like to share my thoughts. I have never played a single competitive multiplayer game on controller in my life, I do play all my story games on controller though. I have played Apex on M&k since launch. On my first day playing controller I can confidently say that my aim at long ranges is abysmal and I can't hit a single shot. However, in close range fights I shred. The aim assist is definitely there and it's very strong if a brand new controller player can hop in and shred people.
Apex has always done a bad job of balancing things right and removing broken features. Tap strafing was the perfect counter to AA because you'd turn fast enough that the AA doesn't lock on. The problem is that tap strafing made M&K way too OP. I 100% agree with the removal of tap strafing even though I loved the swift movement it brought. I do believe AA will be nerfed even farther it'll just take time. It took years to remove tap strafing even though it was clearly broken. Apex is clearly more interested in pumping out skins and heirlooms rather than fixing the game.
There are plenty of controller players that know AA is broken. There are plenty of pros that had to switch to controller just to keep up with the game and not lose their jobs. If people are being forced to switch to controller because it's just that much better, then there's an issue with it.
aim assist simply put should not be in the game, that is on pc lobbies
one side has a computer program, that works without a flaw and the other side is human and gets punished for choosing the wrong input
you barly see roller players turning off AA....i mean why would they
Verhulst plays 4-3 Linear, what are you on about? xD
