No Need To Remove Aim Assist. Just get better (Or At Least Tone It Down Like A Ton).
Those of you that want to remove aim assist all together, you're just waaaaay too salty. Aim assist has existed in most console fps games for a long time. If you still can't deal with it, you need to learn how to bc you can't get around it. EA could at least tone the AA system down a little bit though. Still not saying AA should be removed.

It should be nerfed, not removed.
That is correct.

From my experience playing on controller (so probably around 5h) its just waaaayy to complicated and fancy, when it really locks on it can almost play for u, sometimes it works as expected and sometimes it just doesnt. They should just simplify it, remove all rotational tracking and stuff and just make it so the closer ur crosshair is to the target the stronger the pull towards that target is. This way if well adjusted it wont replace aim compleatly like the current one can sometimes but will still make up for the lower accuracy of controler.
